Bobby G Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Keanes odds are too close for comfort. Could something be going on? Someone just bet 6k's on Avram Grant on Betfair... How does one know that?
bazza Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Today around lunch time I saw David Moyes in a cafe in Lytham. He was on his mobile phone and I wondered who he was speaking to. For a moment I dreamed it might be John Williams. Then I shook myself and guessed it might be sympathies to Incey.
islander200 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 If we appoint Roy Keane I will find John Williams' address and send him some excrement in the post. I swear.I dont want keane as manager either,if he was appointed though the next genaration of irish would be blackburn fans.I was living in the republic when he got the sunderland job and it was amazing to see how many people where suddenly wearing sunderland shirts!I plead with everyone on this mb that whoever gets the job gets our backing 100%,we need to stick together!
roverfanuk Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 How does one know that? Because i know who did it... Oh and before you suggest, it wasnt me... Dave Jones out of the race...
trs Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Someone just bet 6k's on Avram Grant on Betfair... Are you sure, not on my betfair they haven't
RibbleValleyRover Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Someone just bet 6k's on Avram Grant on Betfair... Got to be joking, awful choice for our next manager. Ten Cate was the brains behind that tenure, look what happened to Barcelona when he left and he has just got Pana through to the last 16 of the Champions league. Curbs, Keane and Grant shouldn't be considered IMO.
Majiball Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Hey mod's, Thanks for putting a poll up. I'm eager to see where BFS ends up. You couldn't be kind fellows though and add one more option - other. That way I can vote too. Cheers
hawaii501 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Theres no chance of Big Sam being the new Rovers manager. He was turned down last time and it will still leave a bitter taste in his mouth. Bring back Souness!!
roverfanuk Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Mods, in addition to the Majiball post about the 'other' choice, you can remove Dave Jones and replace him with other... Cardiff's owner has just said "JW can save the cost of the phonecall, because Jones isn't going anywhere..."
tony gale's mic Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Someones just put £2300 on Sam on Betfair.
Bobby G Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Someones just put £2300 on Sam on Betfair. Ok Im not from the UK so I dont know how exactly to deduce how much has been put on whom on Betfair, so could someone point that out please?
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Where can you see those stats? I can see a few hundreds floating around on "Exchanges" but no £2,300's.

Bobby G Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Does laying mean you are betting that he wont take it?
novella Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Does laying mean you are betting that he wont take it? yeah betting against him.
John Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 with my friend. He is adamant stuart baxter met john williams earlier today.
Bobby G Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Btw thats a significant amount of money as a single bet against someone...
RevidgeBlue Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 There was a bloke from Corals (Dave Stevens) on Danny Kelly's generally excellent Talksport show about three quarters of an hour ago. At that point Dave said that all the money in the previous half hour had been on Sam and as the story had just broken on SSN about JW "making progress" and rumours about someone flying up to see him, they were "raising the white flag" (ie closing the book for the night) A lady called Nicola came on and made an excellent call about the mistakes Ince had made which riled Ray Houghton because he was putting the blame on the players. My answer to that would be that it's the manager's job to get the players performing.
ihtd Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Is this the Stuart Baxter that is the Finish national coach?
