Please Mr. BFS

We are Blackburn Rovers, we normally play attacking football in a formation called 4-4-2, we are not Bolton ######**s who play 4-4-1-1 !

Get real and play the 4-4-2 formation we all want to see, or you have to leave we are on a rollercoaster of death at the moment !

Sorry that's it for me now, this does have to stop. Resign, sack him, have him escorted as far away from Ewood Park as possible. That first 45 minutes was a pathetic display. He said we were going to see something different, an attacking Blackburn Rovers. Did we have a shot on target all game? One up front till the last 15 minutes.

At home in a semi-final of a cup competition it's an absolute disgrace that he fields a team with one up front. An absolute bloody disgrace.

I don't know about getting rid of Allardyce, he needs committing to psychiatric care if he thinks the way he's playing them at the moment is acceptable.

I think he has to go if we lose Sunday. Thinking about it today in an ideal world sam would have an epiphany and get us playing good football and winning but its never going to happen it seems and the only other option is a replacement.

Open question to all board members.....

Has anyone heard Allardyce give a valid reason as to why he insists on this one Striker formation and what he expects from it?.

Its all rather odd

I understand why he uses it. It, theoretically, makes us more solid and competive in the middle, and allows midfield players to get further forward.

Howerver the fact that we have looked a better side with 442 just about every time we have used it kind of undermines that theory.

I was flabbergasted today when we went 4411. Literally couldn't believe it. I thought we had to go 442. And why didn't Hoilett play?

Mental.

Just got back after pushing my car out of the snow and having a quick three pints of 'I've been a fan over twenty years and I don't remember seeing us this bad' Stella.

The facts are simple:

We were good for ten minutes of the second half. It was again proved that we are a better side when we play the ball and our players look up rather than just hitting and hoping. The ten minute good performance was employed by Fat Sam to try and paper over the very obvious cracks.

I've never felt so desperate but I know one thing. If we keep Sam we WILL go down.

The emphasis on "keeping it tight", "trying to compete", "giving ourselves a chance", "trying to nick a result" has left me positively fuming. Whynot, "we are going to attack the game" or "I'm feeling confident we can get a result" & "we need to show the opposition what we are all about"... Come on Sam, BIG THE PLAYERS UP!!!

Total loss of confidence throughout the team tonight, 4-5-1 at home in a must win cup semi final, DISGUSTNG!!! I have never seen such negativity from any team at our club in a cup semi. We played Arsenal at Cardiff a few years ago in the FA Semi's, we played 4-4-2 & got battered, but we gave it a go, with Dickov up top. I'd much rather that, than the bobbins I have endured this evening. Second half was ok, we hit the post twice but in the end Villa could and should have been very comfortable winners, because at 0-1 their tactics to counter worked excellently. They Invited us on to them & they knew we'd get around the box, play would break down & they would counter, and we don't concentrate enough when we defend in those situations, as Milners goal showed, he waltzed right through 4 or 5 players and slid the ball home, SHOCKING!!!

How does anyone think playing Niko Kalinic upfront on his own is a good idea, I think he had a good game, but he's no Santa Cruz, he needs a partner, someone to play with, look at Agbonlahor tonight (I hate him too, he looks like my daughters "Mr Potato Head"), he was allover the place streching our defence, and he always had support from Heskey, or his midfield, I bet Niko would kill to be playing like that, because, he'd be a damn sight more effective & it would loosen the pressure off him, having someone else to pass to, instead of having to do it all himself.

Sam Allardyce's tactics are too negative, his attitude is too negative and this is slowly turning the club against him & the players. No wonder half of them won't sign new deals, how many deals with existing players has Sam got signed since he's been here??? I don't think there has been any, and you can see why... our most exciting young prospect for many years is coming through (Hoilett) and he's not going to sign a new deal, I'd put money on Allardyce being one of the main reasons.

I don't want to admit it, but I think, although he saved us from relegation last year, he is slowly consigning us to a fate much worse, as he single handedly squeezes the final drops of life out of our club.

I AM GUTTED!!!

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but Robinson looked extremely reluctant to hit the ball long in teh first half. A number of times we pushed players forward or were in positions that he would hit it long, and he chose instead to pass it short - and it looked as if this was to the surprise of the team. Second half was business as usual, mind.

4-5-1 at home in a cup semi is really, really negative, especially when it's not even against one of the top four! We don't deserve to progress playing with such a defensive mindset.

Damn straight.

He instills no confidence in the side or the fans. It's all lowering expectations before the game and covering his arse after it. The players aren't playing for the manager and it's clear that the fans aren't supporting him. Time's up.

How many games can we play merely hoping on a result. He's just playing percentages and it feels as though little effort is going into anything but having more attempts with the same, minor odds of success. Dunn isn't fit enough to do the job of a second striker from deep, and probably never will be. The only option is to play him with a free licence in midfield and have two upfront. Kalinic can't do it all on his own and neither can Di Santo. It's not fair on them, it's just a surefire way to steal their confidence and their impact.

Salgado on the wing was unbelievable, we're playing a home game in a semi final! We're ###### away and our only hope is the home tie. We had 3 right backs on the field in the first half with a right winger in the middle and a left back on the bench. It makes no sense. I can forge some form of flawed logic to playing Jacobsen, but playing Salgado with both Hoilett and Emerton available, at home, in a semi-final, is unforgivable.

Like I said the other day, he can't motivate the players, his negative attitude, tactics & approach see to that. There was a shot of him on the TV tonight, and he looked like he'd lost it completely, shouting & balling at the lads on the pitch. It's no good when we are staring down the barrel of another poor result, get it sorted before the game, get some belief into the lads before they cross the white line. It seemed as though he had done that last season, but it's all gone now.

Hopefully Allardyce will join the ranks of "All Gone" soon, and we can then start worrying about what happens after that, because I doubt things will get much better, if any better at all in the immediate future after his departure, if that ever happens!!!

It's at times like this I'm thankful we've got this messageboard. The last 2 posts on here articulate precisely the frustrations I felt after watching tonight's latest debacle. How much longer we need to endure this predictable decline into the Championship I dont know but one thing is for sure - if ever we needed the board to act its NOW!

I believe Bolton have saved their hides by getting rid of Megson and bringing in Coyle. I would have swallowed my anti-Burnley pride and been damned grateful if we'd done the same to replace Sam. As it is I fear we're stuck with him and on present form and with the most stubborn/arrogant/ignorant manager in living memory that means relegation.

I admit I was one of those who saw Sam as a good replacement after the woeful appointment of Ince but this season I can see why the Newcastle fans grew to hate Sam so intensely. He makes it very very hard to want to go to Ewood and support the team. I almost feel like a mug turning up to sit through the pitifully under-enthused, poorly-organised, disinterested, predictable way he sends out his players - players we all know are capable of better under better management (I think we all agree on this dont we?). It's not a great squad we have but its a very poor manager we're saddled with and its bloody boring and depressing to watch. :angry2:

Souness was taking us down before he left, why would we want him back.

I dont think Sam will get sacked anytime soon, I just hope he realises that the fans the players and probably the board want to s

see some good football. Not this boring hoof it and run, percentage dross that has been served up for the last three months.

Give us something to cheer Sam!!!!!!!!

What he said.
