Amo Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Commentator making a very decent point that Kalinic has been isolated, too many hoofed balls, midfield too slow to support him, etc.
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Spot on comment by the commentator. I have to agree i feel sorry for Niko, ball played head high all the time and never to his feet, no support and when he does its far too slow.
philipl Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Bennet is a poor ref- never been impressed. Blows up for nothing in the Stoke penalty area. Impressively brave defending by Wilkinson winding up Stoke and the crowd!

A lot of people on here think this type of BFS 'football' is not only acceptable, but it's the way forward.
Amo Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Where the heck is Di Santo then? :-S I made the point ages ago that because we're playing two strikers DOESN'T mean we're playing 4-4-2, but no one was listening. Get used to it lads. A lot of people on here think this type of BFS 'football' is not only acceptable, but it's the way forward. It's demoralising, that's what it is.
Mr. E Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 lol 10 corners in a row and we can't put it in. How does this keep happening.
AggyBlue Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Bret gives it away with another back heel that nearly cost us a goal.
John Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Think Emerton's last two passes show why the passing game does not suit our superstars....
Iceman Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 2 strikers, and we still playing kick the ball up in the air ######.
dazmaz Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 lol 10 corners in a row and we can't put it in. How does this keep happening. how on earth did we have so many corners and only get one damn shot on target i can see a red card being produced in the 2nd half
Iceman Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 2 strikers, and we still playing kick the ball up in the air ######.
Amo Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Think Emerton's last two passes show why the passing game does not suit our superstars.... And Kalinic chasing rainbows most afternoons shows what, pray tell?
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 2 strikers, and we still playing kick the ball up in the air ######. Not playing two strikers though, Di Santo is drifting all over the place.
John Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 And Kalinic chasing rainbows most afternoons shows what, pray tell? And nearly again there! Well, safer with the ball up in the air. Would get Jase on there, to cause some real havoc
broadsword Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 I made the point ages ago that because we're playing two strikers DOESN'T mean we're playing 4-4-2, but no one was listening. Sorry guv. Of course, it needn't mean that he's playing as a striker, but I was curious as to what position he's taking on the field. Playing off the back of Kalinic I presume? seems weird to me because I was under the impression that the strength of his game was playing off of the centre half. He doesn't seem the natural choice for teh role of link-up man. You need Keith Andrews for that!
Mr. E Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 3 minutes of injury time? we've barely had 3 minutes of football played in this half.
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 2-0. Expected a tough game but we are playing absolute rubbish.
BlueWhiteDynamite Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 2 chances 2 goals. not really better than us. aweful game of football if you can call it that. hardly 30 seconds of play have passed before a freekick. and the samba yellow card is a joke.
