With that attitude maybe it's best you don't renew JAL.

With the BBE priced at £209 and the DE priced at £150 any Rovers fan worth their salt would renew.

Since when have we been in a position to pick and choose our season ticket holders?

Appreciate this is a Rovers mb, but people who suggest they aren't getting season tickets are treated like child molesters. It's surely counter-productive to create an atmosphere where someone is obligated to purchase tickets for fear of being called a crap fan. We should go to Ewood at 3pm on a Saturday (albeit increasingly less common these days) because we want to and because we enjoy it, not out of any sense of duty or obligation.

I'd sign up for 10 maybe 20 years if there was an option to because Rovers are my hometown club and I will always support them as I have done since the early '80's. Get your ST JAL and get behind the lads!

I'm pretty confident Allardyce and Rovers are going to pull something out of the bag, but - i'm waiting. After such a strong end to last season surely Allardyce isnt going to mess it up by signing some of the muppets that have been mentioned in the transfer thread I really hope not.

The last time I failed to renew was when Souness sold Andrew Cole and hired Paul Dickov that for me was a backward step so hopefully this time though Rovers will be making some positive forward steps, but alas we await for them to happen.

You renew, or fail to, based on signings? What kind of fan are you?

Agreed.

Would buy a lifetime ticket is there was such a thing... doesn't matter who's in charge or what division, I will be there with the probable 5,000 other 'hardcore' ST holders that we would have left if we were to (god forbid) drop down the leagues.

Like it or not, we have a core support of about 10-12k. The keen pricing has so far got us 14k. I said a couple of months ago that we would struggle to match last season's sales - I suspect about 3-4k of 2009/10 STH were previously casual fans, only attracted by the prices. The low quality/low entertainment of a large number of last season's home games, coupled with the lack of any transfer activity and rumours of us signing has-beens and dollopers are probably not much encouragement for them to renew. Add to that the current economic climate and we're up against it.

With no marquee signing, I think we'll get 16k max. Someone like Guti might have pushed us to maybe 17/18k. No way we'll match or beat last season imo ....

I thought we were up on last season's sales at this point in time? Hughsey?

I think there will be lots of people holding off for the Darwen End tickets til the last minute. If I were going in there I wouldn't buy it til the last minute if there is no advantage.

Guti and Raul should top 20k then. B)

Season-ticket holders failing to renew?!Priced at these levels there has to be a family crisis not to renew.

As a fan or a BRFCS member, surely we have a duty to renew. Its called 'put your money where your mouth is'

Even the Ex-pats on here who moved abroad for economic reasons should have a Season ticket and treat it as a 'foreign remittance' !

tickets have become available again online!

and you still cant buy a ticket in bburn end lower of riverside!

if they are both sold out i should think we have sold more than 14k !!

Hopefully and if that's the case there's 10k ST holders without taking the JW, DE & Family Stand into account. I do think we'll match last years total - just.

Last season we had 19,500 ST holders (That includes 1200 Half ST's & Corporate)....therefore full ST, payers is around 16k normal.

At renewal deadline day it ended up at 14k (which was around 500 down on deadline day last season), however last year it was 1 month later & there was no world cup. We then also had transfers & the waiting list to process in the last few weeks + any that have joined since...

Still VERY hopeful we can match the 19.5k of last season. :brfc:

I was at Ewood yesterday and was told by staff members that the Club is very disappointed with ST sales. This does not sound very positive.

If that's true, can't say I'm entirely surprised.

I can see both sides - prices are so ridiculously cheap there's no reason whatsoever for any reasonably committed fan not to renew simply out of blind loyalty.

However if you were making a purely objective purchasing decision based on the level of ambition currently being shown by the club, likely signings and prospects or lack thereof, and the level of entertainment on offer last season you probably wouldn't bother.

Do people really think all that through or do they do the "if I go to 6 matches at full price then I've paid more than the cost of my season ticket." It's what makes us buy the third ticket we don't fully use; it's still cheaper than buying individual match day tickets for the matches our kids do come home for.
