Miker Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Whatever way you read it, the person who claims to be heading Rovers has in effect said he has no confidence in the Manager and that he is simply waiting to sack him. Moreover he has said that to an audience of 500 fans with a Radio presenter and was videoed for national TV> This is not a matter of waiting 3, 4, 6 or 7 games or whatever the formula. There is clearly no confidence in Kean and he should be removed IMMEDIATELY. Any other outcome is beyond farcical. Or underlines the deep criminality which more and more people are suspecting is the reality. To be honest, that wouldn't be my interpretation of it. What I got from Shebby's statements during the meeting, and from what has been reported by several other people who have conversed with him, is that Kean has been given a "clean slate" and will be judged on this season's results and sacked if he doesn't get those results. Shebby's statement doesn't say "no confidence", it says "action WILL be taken". I don't see Kean's or Shebby's position as untenable because I imagine Shebby has said the same to Kean's face. People wanted honesty, and Shebby is being brutally honest here.

PAFELL Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Don't assume she is as clean as she is being given a pass for being.... She is the one of the three of then who has been arrested. Being arrested and being convicted of something is completely different. But I also do not believe she is clean as some may believe. But she hasn't been convicted of anything - yet.

So Kean after getting Rovers relegated and after substantial investment/smoke and mirrors in bringing new players in will be judged on results in the League 2 Ooops I mean the Championship. Not a bad job if you can get it. The 'Clean slate' approach IMO identies actually who 'owns' the Club or in Anglo Saxon who's shagging who. Meanwhile Coco has gone through pre-season virtually unscathed. Very litlle heard from him, his major contribution being screwing up the Rhodes deal. Just wait unti we win a couple of games and the Jock motormouth ###### head will be in full flow. This whole fiasco is deliberate and the aim is to get KEAN back in the PL as a super-hero. You have been warned.
CrouchingNunhiddenCucumber Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Truly baffling how anyone is falling for the bullish!t that this joker is spouting. Have people forgotten the last 20 months? To be honest even if Kean does get potted who the feck is going to come and work under the looneys that currently own our club? IMO shabby is setting himself up for the managers job and he will make Kean look like Mourinho. Nothing will change until the vermin have gone, the whole lot of em.
T.J.Newton Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 I think the MGP comments are being blown way out of proportion(on this site anyway!), Ive heard managers&Chairmen say much worst things about much better players at their clubs.
Doug Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Bloody hell. Bye Shebby. That can be the only sensible conclusion to this. Shabby must go. He is so far out of his depth its embarrasing. Lets hope he goes before Sky get to interview him.
PAFELL Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 The other video is here: Pedersen Comments etc Why are there just snipits of the meeting being put up and not all of it?
Hasta Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 The other video is here: Pedersen Comments etc The 'that position is already filled' comment is amazing. At most clubs that would definitely leave to one or the other leaving without a doubt.
Teacup Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 He is so far out of his depth its embarrasing. Lets hope he goes before Sky get to interview him. I think what he said is spot-on. Peds should not be playing so many 90min games at his age. He should be used as a sub only. Just because his stamina isn't what it use to be he shouldn't be switched to a position he isn't comfortable with. This is what Shebby was saying, but it was clearly hard for him to explain with everything going on and the pantomime crowd.

Lets hope he goes before Sky get to interview him. Something has to give. Even the funny part about the fan applying for the job. Was a clear and blatant put down of Kean. Comment about the way the side was set up for matches. Added to the run of bad results and kean should go. I cannot see either kean or Mrs D liking any of those comments(not that that bothers me) I also think it is a clear and public message to Mrs D from Shebby Singh, that Kean must go. There has to be repercussions from this.
CrouchingNunhiddenCucumber Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 The 'that position is already filled' comment is amazing. At most clubs that would definitely leave to one or the other leaving without a doubt. This is not most clubs hasta. Neither will leave, both will be allowed to carry on doing a sh!t job, slowly dragging the club down. We will go much lower than this.
Ozz Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Why are there just snipits of the meeting being put up and not all of it? I think it's because SSN only showed snippets, and the videos on line I have seen are all uploads from SSN.
mark1875 Posted August 12, 2012 Author Posted August 12, 2012 Why are there just snipits of the meeting being put up and not all of it? We had to jump through a lot of hoops for the meeting to go ahead and even more hoops in order to get the required permissions to be able to produce this in the necessary audio/video format. There is a lot of red tape and legalities due to the number of high profile attendees/speakers and if this is not done, by following the correct procedure, there will be risks of lawsuits. It is not just a simple case of 'recording' the event and releasing it publicly without the required permissions to do so. Dialogue has not stopped since yesterday and we are hoping to be able to release the meeting in full as soon as we can and we will continue to jump through these hoops in order to do so
AllRoverAsia Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Its a PUBLIC event - just show it and less of this bullSHIT
Salgado Is A Hero Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 I've never understood the fans' general antipathy towards MGP. He has been a good servant to the club, a decent footballer and even when going through some terrible form never hid away. He also seems a decent man and is deserving of far more respect. There's your answer, seasons upon seasons of terrible form.....personally, and maybe others feel similar, I don't really have a problem with players who just aren't good enough ie Dickov or Jeffers. The players I do have a problem with are the ones who clearly have ability just don't produce it near enough and don't seem to try anywhere near hard enough in games ie Pedersen or Chimbonda. Blackburn setting up Shearer move? http://www.newcastle...82/index.shtml? I would genuinely take Shearer, Ince or Grant.....they wouldn't be much better as manager but at least they wouldn't be Kean. I think the MGP comments are being blown way out of proportion(on this site anyway!), Ive heard managers&Chairmen say much worst things about much better players at their clubs. How many times were those clubs trying to sell the player in question? For 3 million?

Therefore already in the public domain. What is the difference between SKY being allowed to do it and not yourselves?
T.J.Newton Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 How many times were those clubs trying to sell the player in question? For 3 million? i said earlier, i think he was just letting mgp know he needs to step up and adapt or leave, his comments about mgp where in regard to what he thought of him as a center midfielder(particularly when partnered with Dunn) and the sum of 3million was just a ITK figure(and they are all doing pretty poorly lately). This threads over for me now, its just getting to contradictory.
glen9mullan Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 But it was a public event. Therefore already in the public domain. What is the difference between SKY being allowed to do it and not yourselves? Permissions which need to be in written form, there was goverment officials including the mayor present yesterday, there was Gary Hickson for e.g also, Do you think if it was that simple we wouldnt already have it out there?. Recordings are like giving names out, with data protection etc you cant just do what you want. Every single guest yesterday had to not only have a ticket but their name had to be on a guest list. So in a sense it was NOT a public meeting. The venue was not widely open to the public and was a ticket only event. The meeting was available to all to apply for a ticket, but once the tickets went, it then becomes a private event.
T.J.Newton Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Seems Shebbys motivational speech has worked for MGP, Players celebrate by pretending to be in wheelchairs after he scored in cork.
The Rover of Finland Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Seems Shebbys motivational speech has worked for MGP, Players celebrate by pretending to be in wheelchairs after he scored in cork. Brilliant!!!
glen9mullan Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 What a load of tommyrot you talk Glen. "Government officials including the Mayor" "Gary Hickson" ?. Did anyone sign a non-disclosure form. Anyone stand up and tell the Press it was all off the record It was a light-hearted stand-up comedy event and fair game for anyone to reproduce If the LT's lad's shorthand was up to scratch he's perfectly entitled to rewrite every single word As we organised it, I think we are far more qualified than you to know what was signed , what was agreed and what forms we had to fill in for the event to take place. As we have already stated we are currently working on getting the relevant prermissions to put out the whole meeting and if/when then happens we will do so. Unless you want to send a few thousand pounds our way in advance and we will put it on now? As I'm certainly not footing a legal bill
glen9mullan Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Answer the question. Anyone sign a non-disclosure form? anyone announce proceedings were off the record? If not it's open season You can't stop a U2 concert from being put out on YouTube these days under what journalistic law can you declare a public meeting - which it was despite your skewed back room-lawyer arguments - as a private and confidential affair And before you ask I'm a journalist occasionally invited to guest lecture on journalism law Great well you will be fully aware you need a press pass, and you will also be fully aware of the permissions you need to present before the event :-) Glad we cleared that up
PAFELL Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Great well you will be fully aware you need a press pass, and you will also be fully aware of the permissions you need to present before the event :-) Glad we cleared that up How were sky given permission to show what they showed. Yet you can't.
Ossydave Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Just need to clear your awful haircut situation up now.
