Gumbi Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Having just looked at the minutes from the Fans Forum I noticed that we are going to be shortly announcing a new shirt deal which begins from the start of next season. Does anybody have any idea on who we will be switching too. Before anyone mentions about Umbro wanting rid of us, it seems that pretty much all the teams who have Umbro are switching from them.

donnermeat Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 My guess is an 'off the shelf' kit from DW a la Accrington a few years ago.
chris_h Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I predict the return of Ellgren. ......or maybe Spall.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Sponsored by Blockbuster, proud to go bust with the Venkys
perthblue02 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Lets hope they put the halves on the back the right way round, Venky's have already got somebody in India who do kits haven't they
Glenn Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Oh yay, queue the usual endless 'Even Stanley have Nike as their manufacturer' comments we used to get on here back in the Lonsdale days. (With a nod to 'is it on Eurosport' & 'Where's Freddy Adu')
RoyRover Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Shiv Naresh possibly. http://www.shivnareshsports.in/
Backroom Tom Posted January 19, 2013 Backroom Posted January 19, 2013 Rumours circulating that Bruno is in fact back in Brazil finalising the deal with his family to start making the kits again! Disclaimer: this would have worked much better If the spelling was the same
perthblue02 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Shiv Naresh possibly.http://www.shivnareshsports.in/ Haven't got a clue who the new kits are going to be by, was referring to an incident mentioned in the Paul Hunt letter.
supergrabbi01 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Umbro aren't going to be making football kits at all after the end of this season, so not a surprise.... nike sold them a few months back and they're going to become a 'lifestyle brand', making casual street ware. It's a shame as they made some decent looking kits.
Stuart Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 believe it is NIKECue a £10 per shirt price hike to go with it then.I agree with the poster above - Umbro have made some nice kits. Wasn't there some legal action rumoured about fake Umbro shirts being produced? Perhaps just malicious speculation.
Clitherover Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 It's going to be some awful sports company, who the hell would want to sponsor Rovers at the minute? ...are Admiral Sports still going?
Torgeir Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Le Coq Sportif or Lotto would be nice, best thing would be Ennerre (NR) and sporting some true 80's kits
watford-rover Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I like puma kits personally. Hope it's not Adidas
ABBEY Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Tampax are making it ... We are in a bad period , we need new wings ,we only dribble once a month and we are in a bloody mess.
Backroom Tom Posted January 19, 2013 Backroom Posted January 19, 2013 Most likely a generic Nike effort A lot of teams are moving from Umbro to Nike I think
47er Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 It's going to be some awful sports company, who the hell would want to sponsor Rovers at the minute?...are Admiral Sports still going? I believe Venkys are close to concluding a sponsorship deal with Jessups.
RoyRover Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Le Coq Sportif or Lotto would be nice, best thing would be Ennerre (NR) and sporting some true 80's kits Lotto would be great. I loved these boots back in the day, before sports companies started getting rid of tongues on boots for some ridiculous reason. Diadora would be another classic brand to have. Or a nice European one that you only see in Germany or eastern Europe like Jako or Legea. As it is we'll probably end up with Ascot or Slazenger.
Glenn Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I'm fairly sure the UK manufacturing and distribution rights for Diadora are held by Mike Ashley / Sport Soccer.
