unleaded Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Rovers win 2-1 .... Winner from young speedster Green again ....came on at half time and helped lift the team... Preston who he replaced looks so fat and slow...... Henley played 80 min....should be on the bench for weekend.......
chaddyrovers Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 how did we Play Unleaded??? Was Bowyer there watching? Any players in the team you think could be a future player for the 1st team?
unleaded Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Played ok ... GB was scouting at the Liverpool V Man U game today Take your pick ......Rossitter the next big thing IMHO .... Liverpool: Ward, McLaughlin, Maguire, Jones, Kelly ©, Rossiter, Morgan, Roddan, Borini, Dunn, Ibe. Goals: Ibe, Morgan, Borini (2) Manchester United: Amos, Verela, Thorpe, M.Keane, Vermijl, Cole, Ekangamene, Petrucci, Lingard, Januzaj, Henriquez Goals: Lingered and Cole
neophox Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Henriquez on loan. Unleaded: How is the deal for Nedelev going?
unleaded Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 He's out of Rovers price range now .. Think he's out of the darkness and into the light... A lot of German and Russian clubs in for him now...., One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.......
chaddyrovers Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I would like Lingard on loan. isn't he a winger? Michael Keane on loan would be good as well if Dann does leave.
AndyNeil Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Rovers win 2-1 .... Winner from young speedster Green again ....came on at half time and helped lift the team... Preston who he replaced looks so fat and slow...... Henley played 80 min....should be on the bench for weekend....... Got to agree with this - the difference really was day and night. I've seen it mentioned on twitter that Venkys (or representatives at least) attended the match this evening. Very low key if that was the case... Reading will be disappointed to lose a match they led for so long and unfortunately, even at this level, I think its time for MGP to hang his boots up.
roversfan99 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Hope Henley starts ASAP, much better than Kane and our player too. I would love Jordan Ibe, Januzaj, and also Lingard, Henriquez and Petrucci would be decent signings.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 A Liverpool fan I work with likes Ibe and thinks he's a potential star. He was talking about him the other day. Basically alll I heard about of Utd's pre-season was Janujaz...don't know the other three, barring reading their names before, but know Henriquez was on loan at somewhere like Wigan although I'm not sure how he did.
BrisRover Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Lingard would be a great signing. Has pace and knows where the back of the net is.
roveranout Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Went to the game and Reading were by far the better side and looked very comfortable on the ball. Rovers have a way to go on that score but there were some great individual displays to which will excite Bowyer.
Boner Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Kevin Gallacher was on twitter the other night angling for an academy job at Burnley. He said Rovers didn't want ex players working at their academy. I asked him if he meant ex Rovers players or ex players generally but didn't get a response. Anyone heard anything along these lines?
Kamy100 Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Well currently we have Short who is a former player. Also Hendry. Not heard anything about not employing former players.
Mercer Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Kevin Gallacher was on twitter the other night angling for an academy job at Burnley. He said Rovers didn't want ex players working at their academy. I asked him if he meant ex Rovers players or ex players generally but didn't get a response. Anyone heard anything along these lines? I think Kevin Gallacher has been unsuccessfully angling for a job at Rovers for close on three years now - think that explains his refusal to knock Kean even in the darkest days.
Majiball Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 How long is Colin Hendry's contract ? 8 sides of A4.
G Somerset Rover Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 8 sides of A4.I have it on good authority it was drafted on a beer coaster.
John Howarth Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 How long is Colin Hendry's contract ? Remember that Colin Hendry is now only a coach with the Under 21's. It is Eric Kinder who is the manager who is trying to bring along a number of academy players, as was the case last night against Sunderland. It is one of the best deals that Gary Bowyer has done.
Jock Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 How long is Colin Hendry's contract ? Allegedly until he pays a Director of the club back.
Commondore Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Anton Forrester scored his second goal for Bury tonight, this time against Norwich in a League Cup tie. Promising.
