FGS5635 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 If they're staying away because they won't support what Venky's are doing in any way whatsoever, and they don't recognise the club as the one they've supported any more, a prospective battering from City's second string won't tempt them back, no matter what the ticket price. There are some fans like that. Some are like that no doubt and fair play to them, but I have a hard time believing all the stayaways believe that. I reckon a good few use venkys as an excuse and we have a chance maybe of getting some of them back

FGS5635 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Uuugghhh £15 riveside / £20 BBE / £25 JW Tickets on sale tomorrow
West Yorks Rover Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Uuugghhh £15 riveside / £20 BBE / £25 JW Tickets on sale tomorrow That's it then, the wandering city fans without tickets will be shoved into the JW. Reckon there could be a few thousand of them, judging by their message boards. Although live TV and early kick-off may dampen it a bit.
sausagemandog Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I cant understand why the BBE is dearer than the Riverside and the upper tier closed, the only expanation i can think of is we have to charge away fans the same as home fans for similar seats...............

Yeah you're probably right £20 for City I imagine.
FGS5635 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Really weird that BBE upper tier is closed though. Unless they fear a small crowd and are trying to bunch everyone together

The club would probably say that the facilities are much better in the BBE than the Riverside, thus the higher pricing....I don't mind the Family Stand being closed, as I take the kids in the JW stand upper. Great view, language (not usually) a problem and a nice change - doubt we'll get another chance in the cup this season.
West Yorks Rover Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Really weird that BBE upper tier is closed though. Unless they fear a small crowd and are trying to bunch everyone together I've heard one of the stewards is on holiday !
AndyNeil Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Really weird that BBE upper tier is closed though. Unless they fear a small crowd and are trying to bunch everyone together Not that weird...been the case for years in the early rounds of the cup. Still got 20,000 seats for home fans, which should be enough I've heard one of the stewards is on holiday ! Don't you mean THE steward?!?!
Backroom Tom Posted December 12, 2013 Author Backroom Posted December 12, 2013 Could have been worse - could have been better Not sure if I'll bother or not yet

AndyNeil Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Could have been worse - could have been better Not sure if I'll bother or not yet Look at it this way Tom, when is the next time you'll get to watch a team, the calibre of Man City, at Ewood for £20...

FGS5635 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I'm one of them. Line drawn in the sand, or do you get the urge to return sometimes? Just curious btw, no agenda
Derby Blue Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Not bad prices really to see a decent team. Minimum they can charge is £15 according to FA rules so don't see what else they could do.

Away fans can be charged more as long as the visiting team agree to it. As the gate receipts are shared some teams will find it beneficial for them to be charged more if they know that the demand is strong enough to sell the tickets at the higher price. http://nav.thefa.com/sitecore/content/TheFA/Home/TheFACup/FACompetitions/TheFACup/Rules Section 20 if anyone is as sad as me for looking these things up.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 City fans like children on xmas morning about this fixture....'will they give us the Riverside too' 'great day out'. When compared to the apathy on here it just turns the screw even more for me,what those b'stard Venkys have done to our club and fan base is f'kin criminal and that is being modest.

When compared to the apathy on here it just turns the screw even more for me,what those b'stard Venkys have done to our club and fan base is f'kin criminal and that is being modest. Give them the Riverside. Screw every penny out of them. It is the only chance we will have of making a few £££'s this season. Use the money to pay DJ. I am going to this one....taking a couple of Citeh fans in the JW Upper. VENKYS POON DOGS OUT!!
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I'm trying but failing to minimise my involvement with the club. This is in preparation for the inevitable disaster that will befall us. That way I think it won't hurt as much when it happens. At the moment I can't break the habit of fifty years. I stay away from games but I'm glued to the news and scores on any match day. I wake up on match days with that sinking feeling and when we lose that night is still ruined for me. I'll be back when they've gone. I'm staying away but I wouldn't dream of talking opposition fans into the ground. I hope they get launched out.
Rover_Shaun Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 They really need to utilise this game to bring back some of the stay aways. Make it tenner a ticket, try and fill the ground and hopefully get some bandwagoners/stayaways back in the rovers routine maybe. There will be nothing in the budgeting forecasts for games like this so use it accodingly and dont think about the short term ££ Does a bandwaggon still exist after over 15 years of top flight football? I'd go If its coupled with Venkys signing over ownership of the club live on the pitch before the match. Otherwise I wouldn't go if it was free. Thats my stance so shoot away
Mike Graham Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 I wonder what the odds will be for Citeh scoring double figures. Our defence gives me no confidence (they were a shamble again v Millwall) and Citeh can score for fun. Does any of our MB punters out there (or should we ask DJ Gamble) have any ideas on the odds at present for Citeh scoring 10 or more?
OJRovers Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Under Manchini city put out strong sides in the FA Cup, they are under pressure to win silverware and the FA cup is not taken lightly. So I think we'll see a decent City team. Tempted to go to see some of their stars, who I think play very good football. The score line could be embarrassing though, and it is never enjoyable having to endure all the scallies from Stockport on a day out.
ABBEY Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Has Gary Bowyer had the Steve Kean Bullshit Chip inserted. Not having a go but come on does he believe us fans are stupid? He was on RR saying he expected a full house . Does he not know parts of the ground are shut.
rigger Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 If you think we are so bad, what odds will you give me, that city don't score ten.
