Mike Graham Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I read that David Moyes was with Shelfy when he "incident" took place at The Emporium. Can we see Moyes going back to Shelfy's club PNE? BTW: I have nowt against Moyes. I flew from Liverpool to London City for a Charlton v Rovers game, sat with him and shared a cab- he was a real gentleman and a pleasure to converse with.

Backroom Tom Posted May 23, 2014 Backroom Posted May 23, 2014 Moyes will walk into another premier league job and do well I think.
perthblue02 Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Wonder if David's brother was knocking about ? anyway considering the story of one of our esteemed owners a couple of weeks back - Moyes , Shelf and Balaji walk into a bar ........ He can come to Ewood PB ! Doubt he will come to Ewood Waggy, he only lasted 45 minutes last time and walked out in disgust
EgyptianPete Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Moyes will walk into another premier league job and do well I think. Well some lad who was at the Emporium (and has his bill to prove it) saw Moyes, Shelfy and a third person, a fourth arrived just as he was leaving, has posted on twitter a local business man he knows has put a £1.000 bet on Moyes being the Rovers manager, apparently from the horses mouth. Again may be @#/? but Moyes and Bowyer, that would definatley show intent. Dream on eh.

EgyptianPete Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 A local business man named Derek ? Sorry a 1000k bet, and the guy apparently lives very near to David Moyes, too add, the chap on twitter seems very genuine and he posts on Ewood parks finest. have a look , and no it wasn't Derek
47er Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Well if this is going to happen, it makes a nonsense of the very recent Venky statement. Unless we are going the DOF route? No, scrap that, don't believe it, some guy is about to lose 1000 quid.
Backroom DE. Posted May 23, 2014 Backroom Posted May 23, 2014 How could he bring himself to manage a club with such "disgusting" fans?

McClarky Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 If Moyes and Shaw were discussing Moyes coming to Rovers they would not be doing it in public in a bar in Clitheroe that's for sure. Not gonna happen for any of 1,000,000 reasons you could mention.

Willie Eckerslike Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Well we need some more Everton-related influence at the club, so it works on that level...
perthblue02 Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Latest is that Moyes was protecting Shelf as he got fed up of the lad keep pestering shelf to sing whispering grass on the karaoke http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XEPUmV7iy0 Well we need some more Everton-related influence at the club, so it works on that level... Also the more Kean apologists the better slot in nicely between Shaw and Myers

How could he bring himself to manage a club with such "disgusting" fans? Agreed... It really would end in tears ( His).
Waggy76 Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I heard there was a Preston director or preston based businessman present as well... So maybe PB is correct Moyesy to PNE ..
Mercer Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Wouldn't want Moyes anywhere near Rovers. Don't buy all this 'nice guy' stuff. I think he's a snot. Reportedly unpopular with the O.T. ground staff and, allegedly, the same with the Evertonian 'minions' if what friends have told me is correct - Roberto seen as a breath of fresh air.
Waggy76 Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Would be a better choice of manager than our present one....It wont happen but I cannot understand why they were in the Emporium ? Long way from home and it is hardly an ideal place for a quiet meal ...

Long way from home and it is hardly an ideal place for a quiet meal ... Think the weather was a factor with a few bevvies enjoyed outside ! Not usually a 'lively' venue. Have seen a number of footballing 'celebs' there before including the infamous Kean (he also liked Piccolinos) who got a real ribbing from some Clarets in there. The place does have a nice charm about it.

Like you say the outside attraction with a bar for a chat, its easy to get to, wellknown by locals, has a certain class but could do better. With this free advertising the place has probably gone up a notch.
Waggy76 Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 It does , you are right MM ...Not been in for a few years but you did have too walk through a busy pub to exit the restaurant which was upstairs ..... I was told David Moyes employed or Utd employed minders for him , when he was manager there..
Neal Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 too add, the chap on twitter seems very genuine and he posts on Ewood parks finest. Hahahahahaha! That made me laugh.

Daily Snail claims the 23 year old builder (who thought he was going to die, sun exclusive with the above, must be true), kinda balls up his chance of a prosecution when he goes to the press first for his 30 pieces of silver....gobsh*te!
