We were hugely flattered by the scoreline tonight as United outplayed us, missed a host of chances and found Eastham in top form. I thought we looked a bit weary particularly in the first half when United dominated. We were much better in the second half and competed much better. Interestingly for all their dominance United got four players booked to our one.

Is Eastham as good as Pears who was MOM last time out for the first team?

He dropped a real bollock for United's first goal last night but then made some terrific saves. His kicking is better than both Kaminski or Pears. He does lack a bit of stature but if they wanted to send Pears out I would say Eastham is more than capable of being a second keeper.

I agree. He's is quite similar to David Raya as keeper. Smaller stature, but agile and very good with his feet. The question marks would be the same as a young version of Raya. How commanding in the box will he be? Will he fluff the crosses/corners against big senior pros? A loan might be the best option similar to what Raya did.

He was at Lancaster in the NPL on loan earlier this season. If he is going out on loan they should be looking at least for an EFL or similar standard club.

I got an email from the club yesterday about the Celtic game tonight. For anybody who has bought tickets already please note the bit in bold. It's a really strange one and reads that you won't need photographic identification of you are buying tickets on the night. Only Rovers could come up with something so ambiguous.

The reason could be that Leyland haven't got readers for the tickets. So you could buy one ticket and print it off loads of times. Without photo ID there is no way of telling if the holder is entitled to the ticket.
