Source?

Mowbray in the shareholder's meeting, I wasn't there but I've heard from 2 different people that Mowbray said Lenihan went into his office and told him he wanted a move, and Mowbray told him he wasn't going anywhere.

Someone else said on here that Lenihan told Mowbray he would Like to stay.More inclined to believe that he did say he would like to go but hopefully Mowbray puts his foot down and Lenihan is here next season, let's face it most of our players would probably want to leave if they had offers to play in the Championship.Lenihan doesn't strike me as the type who would throw his toys out of the pram if he doesn't get a move.If we keep our better players we will win league one

Which, if true, would explain why Sheff Utd keep coming back in for him and who leaked it in the first place.

Sheffield United have just received £5m for a player they sold in 2009 I think we are within our rights to ask for that sum for an important part of our team.

They also received a percentage of Harry maguires 17 million move to Leicester from Hull, not sure how much they got

A reading fan saying "wrap him in cotton wool" and others referencing his injury record worries me a bit especially with Graham's lack of fitness. But keep him fit and I'm confident Samuel will score goals in this league, solid signing yet again. Get caddis on a one year deal, and bring in another striker on loan and a winger with a bit of pace and we're ready to go.

If Lenihan wants away, it's now all about the price.  Naïve to think otherwise.

Understand Grayson is also a big fan of Mulgrew.  Would be a good fit for Sunderland and they could afford him.

Not necessarily. Its also about timing. I would sooner keep Lenihan and risk him being unhappy at not getting a move than sell him at 11pm on deadline day with no replacement and go into the season relying on the injury prone Ward and Mulgrew. We also know that whatever money we get for him in the event of a sale will disappear or we won't have time to spend it before the window shuts.

Just because a player voices a desire to move if the opportunity presents itself doesn't mean we have to get rid of him (though that is what the club will attempt to portray).

We see it every summer in world football where certain players are rumoured to be unhappy or looking for a move but end up staying where they are and continue to perform.

As far as I am concerned Lenihan owes us next season at least after what this club has done for him. By all means if we're still in this division next summer then give him his move.

We specialise in signing crocks so we should be experts on keeping them as fit as possible by now.

Yep, they'd only keep bidding if they have had some indication that he wanted to go.
