Mattyblue Posted January 6 Posted January 6 So no more ‘critical friendship’? Believe it when I see it. The likes of Mike Graham seem to be a long way from pulling the pin… 3 Quote

DuffsLeftPeg Posted January 7 Posted January 7 What happened to the big flag the club sent a poll out about? It was supposed to come out before the Dingles game. Yet another let down from the club on what was a good idea and who knows could have provided the extra inspiration for the players to really go after Bumley on the day. I heard it was due to Venky’s not signing off on it but if anyone knows for certain I would be interested to know? Quote
RoversClitheroe Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Looking forward to WATR reaction to the disastrous January window we have had considering the outgoings in the last 18 months. 2 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted January 19 Posted January 19 shouldn't we wait until the 4th of February to see what transfers we actually make Quote

Andy Posted January 19 Posted January 19 If the rest of the transfer window goes as we all expect, it's probably time to remove the 'friend' bit out of 'critical friend'. 1 Quote

We've received £37.4m through player sales in a short space of time and are spending spending approx £1.1m per window on incomings. That isn't acceptable for this level and in theory you should be battling to stay up each year. We are 6th largely thanks to the manager and managers are getting let down window after window by the owners. Quote
Ghost7 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 and my point is, if you were to expect anything different this window you might be proved right but you would not be basing those expectations on any facts. Quote

If we don't strengthen the squad by the end of the window there needs to be a vote of no confidence in the owners. The trust's main objective is to secure the future of the club. That cannot happen with this ownership. 5 Quote
Mattyblue Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Not happening. They are now too entwined with the club (I say ‘they’, I am referring to the committee, as I’m a member and I haven’t been asked on what the relationship with this ownership should be). Though in fairness to them, away from brfcs is there much groundswell against the Rao’s at this moment in time? I wouldn’t say so, not even close to where it was 12 months ago and that wasn’t particularly vitriolic. 1 Quote

I suspect most supporters look at the league table to assess how things are going rather than getting worked up about signings here or at other clubs. 1 Quote

Yep. We on here pour over every minutiae around the club. The wider fanbase purely look at results. Last February it got a bit testy for the first time in a while. Why? Due to us hurtling down the table, another crap window just added to it. This window shuts after the usual January non event and nothing will particularly stir in the fanbase as we’ll be sitting inside or just outside the top 6. 1 Quote

People are behind the team and given our league position, results, and Eustace and players' connections with the fans. Not heard anything towards Waggott or owners all season 1 Quote
