I laughed tonight when I saw Russell Martin's interview after Rangers had drawn against Motherwell. He actually said some of the Rangers players have to drop their egos........as he ran his fingers through his dyed hair and stroked his beard.

Rangers were booed off by their fans who clearly aren't liking his Primark Pep style of football.

Rangers would boo a 7-0 win if they could have had 8. It's in their blood.

mr perfect would claim  success if rangers finished out of the top 4,that guy has an ego the size of siberia

He’ll be gone by the end of October. They don’t suffer fools gladly on either side of the great divide up here.

I work in East Kilbride. Today EKFC played their first ever professional league match. This is local lads Paul McStay and Ally McCoist at the game. Both terrific players in their day but McStay seems to have morphed into Louis Walsh!!

Early days but it looks like Martin’s ego is exceeding his players’ abilities again.

He could have a squad featuring Pele, Maradona, Messi, both Ronaldos, Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Lev Yashin, Pirlo, Alan Shearer, Zidane, Henry and George Best and this statement would still be true.

The guy is an absolute screaming cock and balls but is obviously a fucking genius as he keeps convincing people to give him a job as a football manager.

And when it doesn't work (again) he'll steadfastly refuse to bow to demands to vary his style of play.

In the same way that it "kind of worked" at Southampton because they went up through the play offs (completely ignoring that with their budget, that was the bare minimum that they should expect), and that lead to multiple pundits claiming that he is the second coming of Pep, it will probably "kind of work" at Rangers and they will qualify for the Champions League (in 2nd place), again because of a giant budget compared to most of their rivals and he will by the end of the season be lauded as a genius by the idiots in the press
