How long would it take for half a pint in a plastic glass to be launched onto the pitch ?

Not long sadly so that's why it'll never happen.

You can't get away with throwing things onto the pitch these days, if you're that way inclined. CCTV is a legal requirement in football stadiums as far as i know - the culprits would be fished out without issue and banned. Besides, a plastic pint glass would do nothing (they're paper anyway now).

The opposition score 5 mins into the second half and celebrate in front of the BBE you are not telling me they don't get some pelting.  People still chuck stuff now several times a season there is an issue of some projectile or other and if an empty plastic water bottle can make it to the 6 yard box so can plastic glasses containing some ale.

I'd love for it to be possible but for obvious reasons it's unlikely.

I'm not saying it would never happen, perhaps more so initially. But once people realise its gonna equal an almost instant ban they'd be pretty damn stupid to copy said morons.

There wasn't even major issues when we were sent to our seats with ale at the Turf that time!

That's probably because it was a bigger hazard unfolding underneath in that dump.

At least everybody had drunk up by the time we scored  🙂

This frustrates the hell out of me. You get to the stage where it's not even worth going for a pint at half time as you have to miss the end of the first half to give you a chance and then down it quickly so you don't miss too much of the second half.

Same issue across various stadiums - but Rovers' seem particularly bad.

If someone can invent a solution where you can pre-order drinks on an app and then collect from an Amazon style locker in the concourse (chilled) clubs would sell a hell of a lot more drinks.

BYO?

SW is that out of touch he probably thinks forcing Blackburn End stalwarts into the JW might drive increased season ticket revenue the following season,  as they all decide they like the view better and snap up more expensive season tickets 🤡

In reality it just means people won't go.

It's a bloody poor do when even Chaddy is critical of the club 🥲

I'm looking forward to JDT's take on this. Imagine having a manager who takes the cups seriously, gets the players up for it,  which in itself would add more bums on seats.....All for Waggott to ensure an even more empty looking ground than usual with literally no atmosphere whatsoever.

The magic of the cup eh Jon?

The hypocrisy is alarming. Somebody authorised the spending of a reported £3k on that unsightly lettering in the Darwen End Upper and yet, to save money arguably the most popular stand is closed. I recall when Waggott closed the Family Stand and quite a few regulars didn't renew their season tickets in disgust. I think this will probably push a few over the edge, supporters who have sat in the same seat since the ground was rebuilt. And how many Cardiff fans will the Darwen End be opening for?

Shambolic decision making by the club once again to save a few quid.

It's disgraceful action shutting the main stand at Ewood Park. The saving the club will be making will be small in terms of cost. Increase of trying to increase revenue it's cost savings at all the time.

Fuck it. Let's just close Ewood all together and play all games at Brockhall behind closed doors.

Sorted. No expenses to worry about there.

We'll be on Pleasington Playing fields at this rate.

These shysters running our Club are so out of touch with the fanbase its unreal, nay, frightening. The arrogance and stupidity of this decision beggers belief. They are pushing their luck with this one for sure!

Can you imagine Liverpool shutting the Kop,Utd the Stretford End?

Can you imagine any other club, at any level, shutting their home end ?

Whoever's behind the idea needs sacking, it really is as simple as that IMO.

Before someone says that's an overreaction, I don't mean for the action alone but whoever is behind the idea is so out of touch they are forming a rotten part of the football club and it will continue.

It would not be an over reaction, it would be a much needed reaction.
