Along with Phillips wearing 15 in the first game, those number changes may be quite telling for the coming season (assuming that the numbers used will be the same as the squad numbers when announced.  Any chance of Adam Wharton getting 4 and Sigurdsson 7?

He'll be eased in. He'll play in early rounds of League Cup and be a fairly regular sub for Championship games.  I'd think they'd have talked to him and agreed a schedule. Hope so!

As long as the agreed schedule includes a new 5 year contract, then I can get behind it

I don't mind the Batth signing - it's always good to bring in quality - but if funds are tight and we're clearly 2 short up front it seems odd.
