A business that size which is serious about global reach wouldn't be so zero committed In one of her first interviews the woman Venky talked about spending £5m per window and 'leasing' players. Deary me the Walker Trust were spending more than that. They have never been committed, to them we were a vanity project that now hangs like an albatross around their grubby necks. And still they won't sell us.
Popular Post tomphil
A vanity project that just happened to have global exposure for their massive business expansion plans. Brought about by con artists, snakes and serpents fortunate enough to have access to the most gullible pot of gold in football history. Crazy thing is had it worked and had the right people been involved it could have been fantastic for the club but sadly everybody involved were looking at what THEY had to gain, not the club. Walkers and those at the club selling it 100% included in that ! Edited October 27, 2023 by tomphil

Mattyblue
They seem fairly representative of the fanbase (away from brfcs, of course). They have never been as popular as they are at the moment, can’t remember the last time I heard a dissenting voice towards them at Ewood. That’s correct, that’s the company that owns the training ground, probably the final portion of the payment due to the club for the sale of the training ground. However, does this then mean that the restrictions on Venkys sending money to overseas group companies have been lifted? It would appear so. It may well just be money that was sent a while ago being turned into equity.

It was clear fromt the start, as you say, that the club was only bought to bolster the image of the owner.
