Young cheap inexperienced "Yes" players being brought in. We've trodden this path before in the dark days of SEM Kentaro and Anderson. Now were left with two men running the club.. Suhail Pasha, who was SEM from day one Rudy Gestede who worked closely with Steve Kean in Australia.. Maybe, just maybe its not over yet... They aren't trying to hide their policy of putting cost cutting before all else. They have cut off all contact with the fan groups and removed any players with any affinity for the fans or the club. They are whittling away at the old guard ( Waggott, Lowe etc ) until they ( Pasha and Gestede ) have complete autonomy to do as their friends in low places desire them to do. My only hope is that it all seems so obvious and brazen that it might be a one final fling before they finally leave us in peace. 9 Quote

Tomphil2 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago (edited) It won't, they are taking these measures of almost self administered admin to stop it actually ending up in admin where they'd then surely lose the club but maybe still have a 100 million quid overdraft in India to be liable for. They are digging in to cling on to the grim end wherever we end up and only something major with the investigation or whatever will alter that imo. The 'model' they are now trying will have been recommended to them by the usual suspects who stand to do very nice out of it indeed. Edited 19 hours ago by Tomphil2 6 1 Quote
OllieNO Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago The «model» is a death spiral - no way they’ll attract the same talent again (as recent sales) with the limited levels of spending we are seeing now. Pasha possibly understands this(?), but as long as he can keep the lights on he’ll continue to make a fortune for a few more years (where else would he get x100k per year? Don’t forget - 500k x 10 years = 5 mill). As long as the overlords in India don’t interfere he’s good👍 3 Quote
John Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Only read some snippets of exchanges between Gestede and fans - Gestede comes across like a smug / ignorant / arrogant **** or is it just me? Totally defensive on any criticism and in an attempt to justify decision making. Not a good look and seems petty. 2 Quote

The rumour that this person takes around £500,000 per year out of the club and has done so for a considerable time, suggests he will fight tooth and nail to preserve his own cushy situation at the expense of others - even if that (paradoxically) will result in the end of the club. The only theory I can speculate that might make sense is that the Venksters have given him carte blanche to take the money for as long as he can keep the club going with little or no fresh input from them and with a remit to generate regular sales to chip away at the sunk costs (with payments going back to India as sweeteners), but that the long game is to allow it to fail in a way that doesn't alert the football authorities. Whatever the game is, it is a snidey little gobshite who is the executive instrument at the moment - someone IN THE PRESS, should be asking in a public forum, "What does Suhail Pasha Shaikh actually do at the club?' and "Why is he paid an obscene amount of money for so secretive a role?' Come on PRESS people. It's not rocket science 😉 Oh, and someone on the end of Gestede's petulance should give him a taste of his own medicine and show some balls when treated like shite. Cowards never like the spotlight, and neither do cockroaches.. VENKYS OUT! PASHA SHAIKH SHADOW LEECH OUT! RUDY GESTEDE BILLY BIG BALLS OUT! 4 Quote

Just simply not someone we want invovled with the running of our Club. He's zero prior experience at this level, still learning his trade and comes across as a loose Cannon..very divisive and dangerous. Full agree about both of these people, especially about the last line about cowardice. No doubting that people like him, are happy to threaten people who they consider to be inferior to them and go off crying, once they receive the proverbial punch on the nose. I despise bullies. Quote

And there is so much known about the negative impact of a bullying culture on morale, performance, staff retention-in particular, the impact on the motivation of an organisation's best staff.. I always felt that our positive culture/camaraderie etc was a key reason that the team managed to punch so far above its weight-particularly under Eustace. Now, not only has that been eroded, it seems to have been replaced by the polar opposite. So, do we think this more or less likely to help the team survive a very challenging season? Let's face it we have seen that before and unless I am very much mistaken, Henning Berg and Derek Shaw, were both paid substantial amounts, having done so. Nice to know the club have learnt from their past mistakes though. Quote
