He's been sussed out now and the stream of world class players he relied on for years to provide the magic that made that system click has dried up due to academies the world over producing mediocre players that are only good at passing and moving off the ball.

Maybe coaching skills and individual expression out of people for over a decade isn't a good idea after all.

Im not sure its anything but premature to suggest that hes been sussed out. He has a number of injuries in an aging squad coming to the end of a cycle. I also have seen plenty of expression from his players over the years.

I dont think they have been sussed out at but the injury to Rodri is a massive loss for City. Some of City players are badly out of form. Also last night, City pressed the self destruction button. They were comfortable at 3 nil until Gvardiol's mistake. 

Pep will rejuvenate this squad in January and the summer with signings at centre back, centre midfielder, attacking midfielders and back up striker

Don't know about anyone else but I don't mind this new format for the CL. I found the group stages to be a bit meh the last few seasons. 

 

Liverpool vs Real Madrid was a cracking game to watch. Also great to see city lose a 3 goal lead.

I only watched the PSG v Inter final because it was free and I'm really out of touch with regard to European football but I have to say that the PSG performance was as near to perfect that I have seen. Inter just couldn't live with them and  couldn't get close to the pace and intensity of PSG. They were relentless.

As the commentators were talking about individual players what struck me was how young the PSG players are. They could really dominate European football for some time to come.

Last night was the death of Pepball IMO. PSG are so energetic, vibrant, fast, direct…no endless passing from side to side, just go straight for the jugular. I loved it & delighted for Luis Enrique.

Was a fantastic performance by PSG and it was one step too far for Inter who had provided such entertainment in the semi final.

It's incredible to say but Dembele at centre forward was arguably PSG's best defender. Inzaghi had no answer to PSG and if ever a manager had to revert to a back up plan this was it but like so many of the modern day managers Inzaghi was unable/unwilling to do it.

Inter embarrassed themselves last night. Heads went down at 2-0 - the other three goals were scored against players going at 60%.

I also didn't appreciate Ferdinand trying to paint it as a win for football - PSG have the biggest wage bill in Europe and have spent over £600m in transfer fees the last two years alone.

PSG fans appear to have celebrated by rioting. 2 dead, 190 or so injured and shops looted and set on fire. No idea why it went that way.

Have both set of owners invested in their clubs with money without putting debt on the clubs like some other owners of clubs like United and Liverpool? That's all supporters want is good ownership and investment into their club.
