Just thinking about the line-ups and the performances this week. Does anyone think VI might be daring the club to sack him? So he can get his final pay packet and retire? I know the squad is bereft, but starting the exact same line-up today as we had on Monday and expecting anything different seemed a bizarre decision.

I wonder whether he's doing it to prove a point about needing signings, or signalling that he has given up and run out of ideas.

Would be my guess

I don't think he would mind being sacked (and the resulting payoff), but until that happens, he is "fully aligned" to enough of an extent as to not kick up too much of a fuss.

If that changes, and Ismael turns into the next JDT/Eustace, then our glorious leadership have reached new depths

If you look at VI's record it certainly reeks of being fond of payoffs he's like a poundland Mourinho.

Also the length of his deal whiffs as well and i wonder who it would be divi'd up between should it get paid out !

Looks like VI gave up on today’s match - not as animated on the touchline as in recent games. He kept looking down and seemed like he had no ideas…

Then why don’t he fuck off and let Johnson have a go ?

To be fair, he doesn’t.

I think today , we were not interested from the kick off ,this squad (i wont call them footballers )

are the worst I have witnessed in over 55years of watching .

The manager is way way out of his depth , in my opinion , we are worse than Sheff Wed.

Absolutely appalling that today , like our last 2 relegations , the fans were predicting it at the start of the season .

This one Venkys and their acolytes will put us in the wilderness for years .

Nobody gives a fuck !

15 years of mismanagement !

Anyone got any idea what Dean Shitehead brings to the party?

Reminds me of Dave "Doddsy" Dodds from the Mike Basset film

Players seem to like him

That is all

No chance, he even told the owners they could fix the pitch instead of bringing in players in Jan!

Worst manager I can remember since Jim Iley.

Thought it from the minute he arrived.

At least we played some entertaining football at times under the likes of Coyle, Ince and he who shall not be named. Not the absolute bilge we get served up under this fellow.

At any normal Club should be gone by tonight. Here however.....................

Worse than Coyle or Kean?

Are you on meth?

Out of all the deranged shit that is on the internet that's well up there.

I don't think (hope and pray) anyone is ever gonna get near those two, but Val is in the conversation now for 3rd place in the all time hall of shame.

I think he is on a par with Coyle , the  other one was inserted into the position for none footballing reasons , shall we say !

Purely based on the fact that he knows how to run a training session in even a semi-professional manner puts him above Coyle in the competency league.

Coyle was a Sunday League level coach, let's not forget that.

Not old enough to have experienced anything pre-Dalglish, but Kean is (bald) head and slippery shoulders above anything in our history, for both footballing and non-footballing reasons.

Ismael's home record is astoundingly poor, but he doesn't come close to either of the above 2 clowns, in my opinion.

Does he know how to run a training session? The players are dropping like flies with hamstring injuries, our specialist set piece training has led to some of the worst uses of set pieces I've seen in my life and I couldn't even begin to tell you what the current gameplan is supposed to be.

Val is absolutely in the same breath as Coyle for me.
