It's down to a functional, competent and best interests of the football club board of directors and CEO's job to continually push the ownership for what they need.

That doesn't happen here as we don't have a real board just one guy pulling strings as he sees fit, previously from the shadows. And to him and his cronies it's all about trying to show the owners they can continually reduce costs or at best run to the same budget year in year out and remain in this league whilst growing a new crop of players to sell.

For this he'll be paid several hundred grand a year plus expenses and whatever else he can cream off whilst swanning around England as the Mr Big of BRFC.

That's it top to bottom it's his own comfort zone stacking up his own pension pot whilst keeping the ownership pacified.

They are obviously the root cause but they rely on the likes of him in the day to day direction and he imo is captaining their boat to nowhere quite happily.

Elliott Jackson is cracking April fools jokes 6 months early or he’s trying to please the club so the LT can be unbanned. Ridiculous statement

I guess we know who's blinking first.

All his articles have been basically brown-nosing since the "ban".

Can't see that it's made any difference whatsoever to the reporting tbh.

It is rare you will see a post like this from me. I am somebody who enjoys managers having time to turn things around

Sack the bloke. It isn’t changing. We concede weak goals. A sign of a relegation team is one that loses even when they appear to play well.

If we keep this guy until Christmas then we will be enjoying another season in League one.

Agreed with you on the match thread and agreeing here as well.

Took him one full match and 8 mins of the Derby away game to derail the play off push last season and seven losses out of ten in the League this season, eight out of eleven in all Comps.

Beyond a joke. And what's even sadder is 95% of us predicted this would happen when he was appointed.

Needs to go now, not after Saturday, NOW!

I know there's a lot of rightful scepticism about this squad, but I still think he should be getting much more out of them than this. Particularly up front. There are some pieces there, they're just not gelling and that thats 100% on Ismael.

Be amazed if he gets sacked. Would mean Gestede and Pasha admitting it was a horrible appointment (which we all knew from day one). They are far too arrogant unless they are starting to sweat and looking for a scapegoat.

He came in and bombed a half-decent side out of the playoffs. Won a few games when the pressure was off - classic Venky Rovers.

This season back to how he started, an absolute joke. He's just a small part of a much, much bigger problem though. Our squad has been so utterly wrecked by the people above Ismael that it's tough to see any manager coming in and turning this around. I don't know if I've ever seen such a technically deficient squad. Our 16/17 team would batter this lot.

I agree there is no footballing nous in the team !

He was a dud in all his previous jobs except for a fluke season at Barnsley and he’s still a dud. As it stands he’s taking us down to league one. If the brains at Ewood care about that they’d bin him tomorrow. But we all know it’s not going to happen. The season is over

RIP BRFC

People rightly point to Rudy and Pasha but if your mechanic gives you a car that only runs in first gear and then you reverse it into a crowd of Kittens then you still warrant a big share of the blame.

He’s irredeemable right now

Ismael now has a PPG of 0.96 as Rovers manager.

Win percentage is now 26.09%

Those figures are skewed by a few wins last season when it looked like the play offs were well out of reach. And true to form he couldnt deliver in the final game when it mattered.

More importantly his loss percentage in the League this season is 70%.
