Upside Down Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Stoke with the easiest 3-0 win of the season. Sam Fucking Gallagher to score the lot. Quote

Mind you, Stoke's benefactors are well and truly minted, and don't hide in the shadows like our goons...At least if you are going to complain about the shit show, you can be fairly sure that the message actually reaches those at whom it is aimed. We poor sods, in contrast, have been talking to ourselves in true schizo fashion, like the old bird who used to wander around Blackburn Boulevard (bus station to you) speaking in tongues and shouting, "Fucking bastaaard" to nobody in particular but anyone who paid the slightest attention. 'Earwig' we used to call her, as she would hold her hands over her ears whilst uttering oaths and her 'fucking bastaarrd' refrain - VERY reminiscent of the 'protest movement' down Ewood way these past donkeys years. Gawd rest her soul (whilst ours continues to writhe in torment). Potters to give us a firing - Stoke 3 Rovers not even at the races 0 Rovers to re-kindle the faltering fires of fanhope - Potters 1 Rovers Rejuvenated 2 Rovers Potted - Stoke City 1 (Gallagher 93) Blackburn Rovers 0 (feck off back up the M6 you 'Fucking Bastaaard' Earwigs 1 Quote

Inferi Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Would like to see Pears dropped for the remainder of the season. Toth has not looked impressive in his performances so far, but we really haven't seen much of him. Pears on the other hand has been given so many chances now. 4 Quote

Old Codger Posted March 11 Posted March 11 The last piece of the jigsaw for me is Danny Baath. He has far more composure and gravitas about him than any of our other options at the back, and reads the game far more comfortably. Till he returns, the slide towards dead rubber run in will continue inexorably, sliding away on Pears' errors, Hyams' timidity, Sandersons ineptitude and Carter's gung-ho foraging. Where IS Danny B?? 2 Quote

onlyonejackwalker Posted March 11 Posted March 11 On the 21st December 2024 we lost 1-0 to Millwall. Since then we have a shocking return of 15 points from the next 54 available. We needed to win, or at least not lose to Swansea a couple of weeks ago. We needed to be strong at home and beat Norwich. We needed to beat the bottom of the league last week away from home. One point from those three games. A crushing, hugely disappointing performance at Derby. We've blamed injuries, the transfer window, the manager leaving, an under performing new manager, individual players. And through it all the fans as always have been brilliant. It's time the players rewarded them starting away at Stoke. 7 Quote

It's so frustrating because he gives away goals yet they didn't invest properly so we have no decent options. He really struggles without batth, tronstad or Travis in the team Quote

MarkBRFC Posted March 11 Posted March 11 At least 6 weeks, we won't be seeing him again this season. Quote
TheRevAshton Posted March 11 Posted March 11 The wrong date that was originally in the thread title had me thinking the match was tonight... When I woke up, still thinking it was tonight, that feeling of dread (with a hint of betrayal) set in... knowing that i'd likely end up in a bad mood after another predictable loss. I watch every game, whether at Ewood or on TV, and it’s usually one of the highlights of my week - but lately, it’s just different. I’m relieved to find the match is actually tomorrow. Would much rather spend my evening on the PS5... This is where i’m at now - I just feel like that spark is going. 1 Quote

Ossydave Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Christ it’s really descending into such a dreadful end of season, again. Realistically we should still be dreaming of Wembley, most fans would in our position. Can’t be many people feeling that way though. It’s massively down to the uninspiring managerial appointment, we all had massive doubts and given how “up for it” the players look, we were absolutely right Beyond bored with this shite now. Struggling to muster any interest at all for this one, I’ll at least attempt to watch it as there’s sod all else to do on a Wednesday night though. 6 Quote
