Backroom Tom Posted July 10 Backroom Posted July 10 Up to Β£1m for JRC - hellfire! Are they paying by the letter? 2 Quote
Emerald Isle Rover Posted July 10 Posted July 10 I did state a few weeks back we could easily fetch approx 1mill for each of jrc and Buckley. They are still in a good age profileΒ Quote
Neal Posted July 10 Posted July 10 I've got nothing against the club trying to unearth some gems from more obscure sources, I think it's potentially a good strategy and if a few come off then those involved deserve credit. The only thing that annoys me is the misleading of the transfer fee's.Β Β Seeing as we're not signing another CB, I'd say this will probably be the final perm signing of the window, any others will be young prem loans I think.Β 1 Quote

Popular Post FE123 Posted July 10 Popular Post Posted July 10 The running theme in these signings is physicality and power. Iβm all for it. Sick of those Tuesday night away games where teams run all over us and we roll over. Not had a big team since the Allardyce days. 13 Quote

rovers11 Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Pace, athleticism and power has been the order of the day so far with our 4 new signings (2 imminent). Not counting Forshaw as he just re-signed. The two full backs are athletic and have pace. Probably squad players though.Β The two midfielders have athleticism and can carry the ball. Tavaers likely a back up, Baradji likely a starter. I don't know if any of them are any good but it's the right type of traits we've been crying out for. We do need a couple of more battle harden championship players to add experience to the squad. And some genuine quality in attacking areas. We need a replacement for Dennis, Weimann, and Dolan up top. 2 Quote
Fraserkirky Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Surely we need a RW not a LW, I know they are some what interchangeable but De Neve, Kargbo and Hedges for the left Quote

He's one of our better football players - he's tough, physical and has a football brain. Sadly he's also slow and injury prone.Β The right manager thinks they'll be able to get a tune out of him. I hope a move works out for him - I've always had time for JRC, one of the few players with a set of balls on our books. Edited July 10 by Exiled_Rover 19 Quote
Popular Post roverstdt Posted July 10 Popular Post Posted July 10 Delighted with the Moussa deal. With my father based in Geneva I regularly go to the Servettes games. He looked a player the two times I saw him play! So very excited about this one. He gets good reviews from Swiss media as well 12 Quote

Our weakest area last season was our attack, we didnt score anywhere near enough and that was with Dolan and Weimann. We surely have to pay a fee for at least one attacking player, surely 2 but definitely a right winger, and then also a centre back. Otherwise, big questions would surely arise as to why we spent fees on 2 midfielders instead. Buy 3 more aswell as these and then youve got a group that hopefullt boost us short term but that we have long term too. Quote

Danny O.Brien Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Another midfielder? Another player and even club I've had to read up on, on Google. It's another player in and another unknown. It's exciting if nothing else. I think there are some gems to be found. For every ohsashi, tronstad and van hecke. There's always a James brown, Clinton mola or telalovic. It might be cheap and cheerful but it'll take a few months to decide if they're shite or not. 1 Quote
