• 5 first team championship experienced starters out plus all loanees saving a fortune in wages.
• No contracts sorted for any of our 1st team
• Sacked the CEO and made a load of backroom staff redundant
• Sacked off the women's team

The amount of money they're making and saving at the expense of the squad is insane... even managed to get £750k for our last gaffer ffs.

Dolan had an early period when he showed promise. He hadn't yet turned in his later performances that now make him attractive to other teams.

My conversation with him would have happened in his season #2 along the lines of:

"You obviously have great potential, one day you'll be well sought after. Right now though I need to think about the club. You'll grow from being here, you'll play a lot so I need to protect your value to us before putting in the work to grow you and raise your profile. Sign this."

If no:

"Then I'll have to ask you to start looking for another club as you won't be developing at our expense any more. You're in the U21 until you leave or reconsider".

"We like you a lot TD but that's how it is. Let me know what you decide by next week."

Something like that.

Many of those links is just agent/clubtalk. Those who have signed was linked just a day/same day as signed. 

Some agent just throws their clients name out to hope off a better deal or another club throwing in a bid. Or a sellingclub hoping for a biddingwar. 

Many players have different agents for different areas. Some work with English club, some with other countries.

I'm going to call BS on that one. He signed one new deal after being at the Club and there's no way he would have refused to sign another improved deal a while ago.

This helpless narrative is exactly what the club will be wanting spread. I suspect it was a case of the offer not befitting what he felt a player with a number of years of Championship experience should be getting. Im not having that he decided unconditionally to run down a deal with 2 years left on the tiny contract he would have signed not longer after joining.

GB tried and tried yet Dolan didn't want to talk cos he was changing agent. Maybe that was the sign he was lining up his next move. 

He now still no move line up unlike BBD did when he left us. Maybe his demands are too high as the Turkish club chairman or those supposedly interested clubs havent materialise into actual offers. Whichever it is he has gone from us and we moved on now.

The only reason I believe he was offered a contract because that story and the previous one was around the time we were actually extending peoples contracts. I can’t see why we would extend the likes of JRC and not Dolan.
How much we were offering him in comparison to our other regular starters is another question.

Wrong - check my postings.  On match day, usually bet on a single outcome and additionally throw in a 'fun bet' eg correct score, goals over etc.

Did you bet on relegation last year the certain outcome?

No, because who would risk  leaving an eye watering amount of money on the table like that?

If he was ever offered anything it would have been for a nominal increase on his existing deal and not even worth considering. But at least then the Club would have been able to change the narrative and pin the blame on the player.

I'm not bothered about Dolan leaving at all. Very average championship player. 

The real issues it does show though is that no player with any ambition or options wants to stay at the club and the replacement will be cheap/free and likely a downgrade. 

We haven't signed anyone yet that improves our first 11 from last season. In fact, we've lost/losing our 2 best defenders - Batth and Brittain. 

On the flip side, we've often not added to the squad at all by this point so at least we're quicker out of the blocks this year.
