He is a popular player and generally regarded as being a solid pro. Unspectacular but reliable. I think he’s a good sort and has the championship experience our other signings lack. He’s always looked a bit short of pace when I’ve seen him, but that didn’t seem to hold Danny Batth back last season. Sensible signing I feel. Scored a lovely own goal for us last season too! Thanks. I was going to ask you that very question! 1 Quote

Torgeir Posted July 18 Posted July 18 In hindsight it’s a shame we couldn’t keep Ash Phillips. He would’ve been a regular here by now and worth a lot more than what Spurs paid for him. Haven’t noticed McLoughlin much whenever I’ve seen Hull play, but it’s obvious that he’s not our first choice. Quote

Still think we need one more center back considering Carter’s become injury prone and Wharton only just returning. I hope we bring another on, more likely a loan or a foreign import. Feel we will get Kapuadi or Rosler in on loan before the window ends. Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Nixon saying we're pulling out of the Hibs lad due to injury. Hmmm 🧐 Quote

roversfan99 Posted July 18 Posted July 18 If there is any truth in it, at least we might actually replace Brittain. Rather than not bother and then claim that "maybe Ismael is happy with Alebiosu and Montgomery." Quote

roversfan99 Posted July 18 Posted July 18 It does feel like a number of our main targets arent getting over the line. And before the usual suspects come out, I am not blaming people, especially for the injuries. 2 Quote

Seems like a sensible signing to me. We've signed a few that aren't familiar with the Championship and, like Ohashi and Gueye, could take a bit of time to get used to the intensity. McLoughlin shouldn't need that. Seems like a shrewd signing for £500k. 2 Quote

Armchair supporter supremo Posted July 18 Posted July 18 The one (and probably only) thing you can credit the venky ownership for over the years is that they're never a pushover when it comes to selling players for the price they value them at 1 Quote
