Rovers pushing an article for Mullarkey Mathews... They're probably angling as Dolans replacement so they don't have to spend.Β

Β

Is he any good?Β

Looks promising.

In reality he's a right back filling in as a right winger due to numbers.

I think they will get someone in that position before the window shuts, but it won't be anyone who will come straight into the team it will be someone to back up Hedges.

As stated above... If they can't improve that position to play ahead of Hedges, I'd argue it's a signing not even worth making.Β

Good move for Dolan. I think he will do well there and is able to test himself at a higher level on a significantly increased salary. Objectively, you can't blame him for not signing a new deal here.Β

Us getting a lower amount in compensation makes no difference at all. None of it would have been re-invested into the squad, it would have gone into running costs.Β

Back up to Hedges is the most damningly depressing statement anyoneΒ  could give on Rovers transfer policy.Β

The next time the kids are playing on the common facing my house I’ll have a word with the best one. They can be back up for him.

Said before but the most realistic signing is like to see them make on the right is Koki Saito. News around him is quiet.Β

Ty going to Espanyol is a good move for him. I’m sure it’s already been sold as a β€˜do well here and be in the prem in 6 months’ type of offer. They can offer that via the 6 fingered lot down the road.Β

Can’t come back to England for 12 months.

Two big hamstring injuries in the last couple of years...Β

He might be good (he's very young). He isn't currently good enough.

This is a strange article. Says we are keen to learn our lesson regarding the current crop who have a year left. But it "depends who you speak too" and we are comfortable letting them all stay without having signed a new deal. So not really learning any lessons.

Also says compensation will be Β£90k x how many years Dolan signs a contract for.

FIFA’s compensation rule covers a player up to the end of the calendar year in which they turn 23.

For Dolan this was 2024.

I’m not sure why Elliott thinks we’d be due even one penny.

Probably trying to sell him so they don't have to spend

It would be handy if Jackson "showed his working", by providing a link or similar.

Although it is more likely that Waggott/Gestede once told him this was the case, and Jackson took it at face value

Good luck to Dolan, he gave 100% for Rovers, a bit to greedy at times, tripping over his own feet trying to go round 4 defenders.

Ah okay fair enough.

I think the O'Brien signing was a much bigger miss than Undav given the fact we were extremely light in midfield at the time.

I'm not sure, to be honest - we were creating a lot of chances under JDT, but the likes of Gallagher were not converting them.

A ST the quality of Undav would have made a huge difference and, in my mind, would have got us comfortably into the top 6.

And for moving for money (Dolan), we all absolutely would do the same.
I'm really happy with where I work now, everything is great - but I was headhunted a few months ago and, quite honestly, the salary on offer turned my head and I had some discussions with the other business.
(Ended up staying, actually out of loyalty, so maybe I've negated my actual point on this...).

Lol. I see your point though and loyalty in your situation indicates your employers valued you.Β

Imagine working under this ownership.. !

I hear Arsenal are interested in Tyjon, could we not make a deal, we keep him for a season, then do business.

I don't want to keep him for a season then sell him in a pre arranged deal (I think that's what you're suggesting). Odds are he makes a lot of mistakes this season as he develops and all we would do is develop them for him for no extra money.

He would be safer going to Arsenal then getting a loan elsewhereΒ

You stand by all your points that have been proven wrong. Interesting approach.

Argument to say seeing as we know money doesn't get reinvested that we should just ask Arsenal for their B grade youngsters in a swap deal.Β

We don't get the transfer money so Venkys either have to put money in their pocket or sell upΒ

You might care to check - my understanding is that it's the end of the season and not the calendar year.
