Struggling to find a Twitter post about the Netherlands friendly you said was posted days before my post?

@Mercer This news was announced on the 21st on twitter. Rovers Xtra was the one to break it on that platform

Thank you!

One day after my post on here (20 July).

I rest my case @roversfan99 !

Did you not give off to me last week for copying and pasting something you had said last year - calling me a troll?

Now you’re looking for someone to do the same because it may suit yourself. Funny that

Not really - opinion versus erroneous claim.

The poster was trying to diss me with an erroneous claim.  Seems like the Twitter post he referred to was a figment of his imagination.

Wrexham signed Conor Coady for £2m - another good buy

What a terrible lack of vision from Wrexham!

How on earth are they expecting to develop him and then sell him on to someone higher up the food chain for a profit whilst furiously doggy paddling to keep their heads above water in the lower reaches of the division

From what I've seen so far in the transfer window, I'm hardly blown away by any Championship club and their signings. A lot of clubs have lost players too, so maybe we won't truly see who the real standout teams are for a good number of weeks.

I live in Southampton and watched a few of their matches. They look so disjointed at the moment and the fans are quite worried - especially after the disaster of last year. I'm sure I've read the same about other teams too.

I think this season could be about assembling a squad that’s cohesive, tactically aligned, and has a clear understanding of what they need to do to win games. When every player knows their role and the team operates as a unified unit, that’s when performances become consistent, momentum builds, confidence grows and results follow.

Based on what I've seen so far in pre-season, we tick a few of those boxes. It's just a question of whether we're strong enough as a team, in terms of depth and quality, to maintain consistency. We definitely need a few more players who can improve the team, but I'm pleased with the signings so far. If we do well, then perhaps key players will believe in this new project and sign extensions.

It's also pleasing to see some players from last year grow in confidence. I expect good things from Yuki, Cantwell, and I wouldn't be surprised to see an improved Gueye now he's settled in England, has some French speaking players in the squad. He will grow and could become a surprise to us all.

As to who we should sign, I still go with what Mark Hughes once said. You should sign players to improve the first XI. Let's hope V.I and Rudy can do that....and check the fax machine still works!

From LT article today. Surely another striker is now priority over another CB ?

Rovers still want to sign a right-winger, attacking midfielder and secure further cover at centre-back. Miller’s fee is thought to be around the £1million mark all-in and so, hopefully, the trade with Brittain gives additional funds for Rudy Gestede to source further reinforcements across the squad

I was really hoping today's thread would be a battle over whether or not someone got the exciting scoop on a preseason friendly the other week.

They think Ohashi, Gueye, Tyjon and Leonard are sufficient for one position? Questions on their quality but sign a striker and it sends the message to Tyjon that a pathway to the first team isn't as close as they may have suggested to him

Lewis Miller is a RB / CB cover, 2 for 1.

Itll be Baradji and a winger and then we’ll be done. Is my bet.

That would leave us massively short so I really hope not.

Can't say I know anything about Miller from Hibs, but on paper it seems like a decent signing. I just wish these deals weren't always just to replace an outgoing player, as it always feels like the club are just playing catch-up.

Exactly, as I've said many times, we never build on anything that's gone before. We rip it all up and start again, each time going lower.

And we could bring Tyjon through only for him to fuck off for well under value at the end of the season. Until he signs that contract I have absolutely zero interest in potentially sacrificing our season to develop him.

Can see what type of players VI is targeting. Big athletic players that can carry the ball and cover the ground. Fingers crossed they can hit the ground running. If we can get Baradgi over the line and add a decent Rw we should have enough to survive next season. But this also depends on no more key outgoings. Another striker is needed and would love to go back for Muhammad from Nantes

Yea can understand his angle aiming for energy and pace. We shall see what game one brings

Signing Kieffer Moore for £2m as well.

Main issue Wrexham may find is actually bedding everyone in.  Might take them a few months to get them firing.  Their squad from last season isn't too dissimilar from the one that Rovers smashed in the cup a couple of years back, obviously they have/are signing quality players, with experience, but it seems a but late in the window for them to mount a real charge at the top end of the table

Think they will end up in the top 8 or 10
