The 2 cloggers in the middle look like they already half way out of the door …. Definitely need another attacking midfielder & a striker who can run in behind … Ohashi I love but he can’t lead or run .. NEC had some lovely footballers especially Onal & the Japanese lad think he’s scored 7 in preseason….30 days to sign 4 or 5 … Having two water carriers in the centre of midfield is certainly limiting our attacking play Quote

I thought every player looked the same first half so wouldn’t read loads into it second half a good bit better only pre season though same as the wins the loss is irrelevant 1 Quote

philipl Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The signings this summer are desperately poor on their showings to date but which Championship sides pass, move and retain the ball (ignoring their repeated attempts to gift us goals) like NEC do? 1 Quote

Calling them cloggers who need replacing is massively OTT. Our problem is repeatedly letting good players leave and bringing in cheap punts as replacements. Which is exactly what will happen when Travis and/or Tronstad leave. 1 Quote

Oh I don’t agree with the cloggers and need replacing comments more in response to you saying the aren’t the problem - in terms of the hierarchy your correct but just judging today both along with most others miles off it so when posters are saying the signings are crap based on today - well we have first teamers there also crap today too so as you said best not judged in a pre season game Quote

Looked slow, like everyone else bar Kargbo 1 Quote

Everton were a pretty decent standard as well and we did alright there. Shit performance from the whole team today but let's hope it's just the rust being shaken off before the season starts. The situation at the club as a whole is much more of a concern to me than random friendlies. Quote
chaddyrovers Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Can we just remember its pre season and the proper football that actually matters started on Saturday at 3pm at the Hawthorns. As I expect some people going over the top with their remarks after today's performance against NEC. Looks like Pears is third choice currently behind Toth and Michalski. Buckley isn't close to the squad. Expect both to leave before the window. If Pears does leave then I think we need another keeper in 29 minutes ago, Wing Wizard Windy Miller said: Hopefully today was an eye opener Chaddy. Like I said in the Match thread I ain't going OTT over one poor pre season performance, Against Everton we were excellent. I have seen us lose 3 nil at Deepdale in pre season and were bloody awful that night yet won the first game of the season 1 1 Quote
Hasta Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Travis and Tronstadt looked today like they had no intention of competing for anything close to a 50/50, which to be fair doesn’t bother me in the last pre-season game before we start proper. However for their third goal Travis just looks like he can’t be arsed sprinting, is so slow to get across and just lunges to bring him down and misses. Quote

ROVER_N_OUT1978 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The fact we haven't heard a peep about who this mystery signing is does not fill me with confidence. I'm thinking Belgium second division, hope I'm wrong Quote

Andy Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The problem with offloading Pears and Buckley is that you need a buyer, to be able to sell. 4 Quote
Eternal Optimist Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago No idea why folk have got their knickers in a twist over a preseason friendly 🙄 won previous four, played well and everyone’s happy, lose one and now the ‘owners want us relegated’ 🤷🏻♂️ Players are not going to bust a gut one week before new season kicks off and risk injury! Heck had we done 4-0 today but lost players to injury people would have been in uproar asking why did we play that way a week before season starts. i agree we need a couple more players in and the new ones can’t be judged until the season properly starts, intrigued who the other new signing could be? Maybe someone need to ask Nixon 😂 Quote

Ossydave Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Pears would get a few offers I would have thought, I’m struggling to see what Buckley has done to get any sort of interest though….. 1 Quote

Buckley will get a club, prob league one, but no one will buy him for any noticeable modest fee. A good move for him now would be somewhere like Wigan. 1 Quote
