imy9 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago we have about half a first 11 that did not start at the beginning of last season- this is a massive shift. I predict results will pick up by September as the new players will take at least a month to get to speed. i think we all know Travis leaving but what’s imperative is that we sign a player with Championship experience. We need a RW and a proper number 9 up front. 4 Quote

Shout-out Rudy - what a great window. What did you make of McLoughlin? Early days (day) but cant see what De Neve offers. Thought Alebiousu was ok. Quote

superniko Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) We signed players from a relegated Belgian team…..the Belgian league is the equivalent of the Championship, with a steeper regression as you go down it, so if you’re getting relegated from it, you’re probably league 1 level at best. Ditto signing Telalovic from the actual German 4th division, which is what, national league north level. Weirdos on social media love this shit as players are unknown, but anyone with half a brain cell can see this is risky, and has rarely paid off for us (Tronstad the exception that stands out) I said a while back throw enough shit and some will stick - well, I don’t think we’ve thrown enough shit, because this team looks utter dross. We haven’t improved in any areas we actually need to. Hedges and DeNeve as starting wingers, would that even be up to Bolton’s level in League 1? Edited 5 hours ago by superniko 4 Quote
BigHoz Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Travis goes we’re in the shit, not many in this squad understand or has what it takes for the championship. Wasn’t the best today but who blames him if he’s being shipped out. 3 Quote

To think he usually only starts a season well and regresses - would hate to see how he performs in a few months time if that’s the case 3 Quote

If they're not 100% in it then they need fucking off ASAP and get someone in with more of a point to prove. 2 Quote

Crazy wanting him replaced with a cheap untried geezer from abroad. And looking at what we had out today, I don’t trust these lot to bring anyone decent in. 1 Quote

Like many though, they're obviously unsettled by the change in manager and behind the scenes goings on. Regardless of all that, you can only have players who are 100% playing, especially in CM. 3 Quote

Line the ducks up and ensure you get good legal advice. This is about shifting the rot, not being a source of gossip in the pub to convince people, who if they cant see with their own eyes what's going on after all these years, then its a waste of time and effort to change their views. Immediately said "yes" Then said at least one more, any more than that would require players out. He expects players to come in and to leave. Asked directly about Travis going, he seemed a bit uneasy and didn't give away much, but it definitely seems like there is something still going on. Worrying.     I got same vibe. Shades of JDT in that interview. Didn't sound happy about the window at all, resigned to Travis going. Quote

chaddyrovers Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Ismael gave little away as to whether Rovers were any closer to adding the right winger they clearly need and desire. He was quizzed on Koji Miyoshi but didn't offer much. "We still have three weeks, so I can't tell you anything at the minute," he said. "We're working hard behind the scenes. I think it's obvious now which position we need. "As I say, you have your target guy. Either you stay patient until you can get him, or you try to move on to the next one. But at some point, when we think he's the right player for us, we have to do everything." "There are a lot of players that I like," he said with a smile on Miyoshi. Roverthechimp Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Why Leonard? Clauses that will raise his wages if he ever plays or just not fancied by the new set up? Quote

Going into the new season as a very unhappy set up. Ismael presser seemed very downbeat for the first game of the new season. I fear the down turn inTrav and Tronstad form is because their heart isn't in it any more. A big worry! It is clear that a big reason for the team punching so well above their weight was the culture and togetherness( sorry, I know). A lot of wilful damage has been done to this, including the "disappearing" of key figures on and off the field. Â 3 Quote
davulsukur Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Wonder if Suhail is just on a full on vengeance war path, the fans hate him, ramping up the pressure on him, pushing him to the brink of being removed. His response, just sell all of our better players as a final fuck you, before he's canned. 2 Quote
