Doubt Coar gets anything other than free hospitality and may be expenses he's nothing more than a 'guest' director isn't he ?

Kept on in an invited capacity because of his FA links but no more than someone who is there to give an opinion on something if asked.

Only time hes ever opened his mouth is to defend the regime and dig at fans.

If Pashaa is not a director & therefore his remuneration is not covered in those figures, I wonder just how much of the rest of our wage bill he takes up?

I wonder if the answer to that question may also showΒ  why our total wage bill remains fairly constant year on year despite repeated cuts to the playing staff

Indeed - would also love to see who else is on the payroll!!!

Quite a few 'consultants' who nobody ever sees or could put a face to a name i'd imagine.

Alongside a few former employees still !

it says "loan"

However, if it is a loan with a view to a permient, , then it seems a bad deal

Doesn't their season finish in mid-October?Β  What then?Β  Returns to play in Under-21's or sell him to the American club.Β  For me, if they want to loan him, why not look for a League One club?

Strange that they have decided to use a central midfielder in Montgomery at rb in favour of Duru any idea why?

Won't have seen as much of either player as you have but from what I have seen of Duru iv likedΒ

At the kit launch thing recently, VI made a point of saying that Montgomery had impressed in training with his attitude and abiity to take on board his tactical instructions.

By that same token, you'd assume that Duru has done neither of those things?

Which is a shame, as he's looked promising in the glimpses we've seen him.

Sounds like the sort of thing Jason Lowe would have been praised for back in the day.

To be fair Duru was at Barrow then injured after Ismael came in February. I think he was still doing some rehab for the early part of pre season.

In my opinion Duru is an infinitely better right back than Montgomery.

I agree, I liked the look of him - hadn't seen as much from him defensively, but I'm positive he'd be a better option than KM at right back.

This is purely hypothetical on my part.Β

Durus current contract runs out at the end of the season (although he does have a year option).Β  Given that Duru has declared his national allegiance to the USA, & that Rovers have issues with extending contracts at the best of times, is it possible that Duru has made it clear that he does not want to sign a contract extension and prefers a move to the USA to keep himself in view for the National team?Β Β

Which would possibly explain a reluctance to use Duru at right back for the first team, and laos Durus possible next move away on loan?

Yes it can.

Individuals and roles are often designated 'director', however, they are not designated 'Board Director' nor do they sit on 'the Board'.Β  Jackson refers to a 'Board decision' and if Coar, Babu and Screenivas Rao made that decision then I will streak around the area where I live tonight!!!!Β

Thankfully for your neighbours it’s more likely Jackson has misused the term β€˜board’ 😁

I was pining for Jason Lowe the other night.Β

Montgomery should be on loan in League Two. He's way off even bottom of the Championship level.Β

VI runs the risk of ruining his career before it's started.Β

Coar is 78 now and must have been involved with the club for over 40 years good times and bad. Maybe just finds it difficult to let go but at 78 you would have thought he would have had enough with the last 15 yearsΒ

All you leave behind of any real worth when you go to the big changing room in the sky is your reputation and your good name. He’ll just be remembered as a yes man for the Chicken Chokers.

They brought in two RBs (unless the long term plan is to shift Miller to CB) so they clearly don't fancy Duru.

I didn't think he looked out of place when he ran out for us last year and the Barrow fans seemed to like him - but what do I know?

I only saw in once at that egg cup game at Rochdale. From what I’d heard I expected a lot more. People were talking like he was the second coming of Alan Wright etc. He was hardly involved in a game he should have shone in and he looked a bit on the small side to me.

As I mentioned with Batty last week.Β

Duru is 20 years old, far too young to be written off, so a loan move or 2 would make sense.Β  In which case, having 2 other right backs is the sensible thing to do.Β  Especially considering when if one of them performs to a decent level, then he will be sold as soon as a close to acceptable bid is received

However at the current time, Rovers are selling off anyone rather than offering new contracts, so sense does not come into it

Sad to see Travis has refused to play.

He's really blotted his copy book here. Clearly chatting to Eustace behind the scenes.

Paper tiger, paper captain.Β

I'm old school in this respect.Β

You're being paid by us so put the fucking shirt on and play. Needs to have his wages docked and I don't care if his feelings got hurt over the quality of the contract offered/ not offered.to him.

Our recruitment strategy is now to fire Rovers shirts into the crowd. Just watching them do it in front of the BBE. If you catch one they'll unveil you at half time and you can be captain next weekend.

Club are hardly going to come out and say Travis wanted to play are they. They're in the process of selling him, can't risk an injury to happen.
