JRC on the bench again for Charlton. Was right to move him on. Not good enough for them, not good enough for us.

Has Ismael been backed? This is all funded by sales.

Not every owner returns money from player sales straight back into player purchases. In our case, I think it's more down to who the head coaches have been and a bit of foresight as to whether they'll still be here in six or twelve months.

The two common denominators are that Tomasson offered his resignation after one year, and if rumours are to be believed, Eustace wanted to leave in the summer shortly after he joined.

Our ownership and upper management is chaotic to say the least, and while they should have let both head coaches go at both points when they didn't want to be here, it's probably the right decision to not let them spend what precious little money we have.

To me, it more begs the question why the hell we wanted those two to stay when they wanted to get out. This worries me far more than any transfer window activity.

I think the common denominator is how much heat Pasha is getting. Its no coincidence we reinvest money from sales at a time when there are rumours his position isn't as secure as it once was.

Whilst Venkys own us, this club will always be about power struggles.

Below is my post with my thoughts.

Ok thanks for reply.

Seems valid concerns. Not scored a great number of goals but if he had would we been signing him for around £2m. Rovers would have done their homework so let's hope he deffo signs and can hit the ground running.

I cant give any opinion on him apart from he seems to strike the ball well from his clips.

The transfer budget was around £5m this summer. See minutes in the Rovers fans forum and Glen Mullan. Tho seemingly we are spending almost double that which indicate to me we have reinvest some of the money from sales

Personally, I'd sell Gueye and get one more striker in. He's frustrating and ultimately is less than the sum of his parts.

He frustrates me. I think he's got all the ability to be a great striker at this level. We've seen him do it. When he goes off the boil though, it's dramatic and sustained.

Jordan Rhodes at Ewood today......

Said he'd be around a lot more this season soon (can only presume there's a coaching role being offered?)

Striker coach on Ismael's coaching staff?

Too bad if Leonard is gone, I liked the lad and think he needed more games and a good run of fitness.  I think he will do well and one we may.not be so happy about letting go given time.  Streets ahead of that plonker Jack Vale who it seems got more chances than Harry.  Might just be me

Hopefully 🤞 this will be a good signing.

Only 23, been at some good academies & Icelandic international.

Dunno why, but I'm on board with this one.

I’m sure it’s in part because what we have there isn’t that great. So allure of potentially a better option breeds optimism

Only played about 5 mins in their opening 4 league games.

Think he’s started in the cup but yeah, looking like the correct decision.

Ismael has confirmed that we wont be signing a keeper.

All the usual crap about pathways. Its an absolutely ridiculous decision to stick with 1 senior keeper. Does any other team in the football league display such a negligent attitude towards having competent experienced back up? If Toth gets injured we really are fucked.

Have we sold Pears or something?

Like they did on Forshaw, Kargbo, Gueye, De Neve, Tavares, Henriksson who are all looking distinctly 'iffy' and that's being diplomatic!

Chaddy - we are not spending money.  Over hyped fees for the gullible, fanciful add-ons for if we win the PL - IMO, it's all bullsh1t.  IMO, there'll be more money coming into the coffers than is leaving and there'll be huge savings on wages to boot!

Pretty sure he'll be with us on Tuesday.  Can you see anyone taking him?

If I could get a bet on Hyam leaving before the window closes then I'd be on it!

A depressing night.  Think Gestede's transfer strategy, if you can call it that, is about to spectacularly unravel and backfire.

Smit is on the bench for GAE here, might flick it on second half if he comes in as this Leeds game is shite. Although it suggests nothing is happening as we'd never get him flown over on easyjet and signed now

Still 4/5 short for me... Hopefully Morishita and Gudjohnsen make up 2 of those but still need a proper midfielder, CB and backup GK.

Lack of talk re a centre midfielder makes me concerned they're now not replacing Buckley and have replaced Travis with a crock. We can't go through the next few months with the same options in the middle as today.

If Baradji isn't fit for a while then we should look at a domestic loan, I don't see how we can justify another permanent signing there. There should be some young PL talent available as we near the window close, there usually is. We'd have to sell a centre back before buying as well, we've got four senior already.

Smit came on and has done absolutely fuck all.

What an enjoyable watch though, great atmosphere and GAE pushing for the equaliser which they've just bagged
