Have a feeling the atmosphere at ewood will be more than simmering very soon… it’s gonna be painful for VI, Pasha and Gestede after this windowΒ

well done chaps… core team dismantledΒ

There aren’t enough people in the stadium to create any atmosphere. Which is just how they want it.

We had 30,000 on less than a year ago against Burnley, riding a wave of optimism. And now look.

Truly, truly sad.Β

Can guarantee that's not the mood.Β  From speaking to a few, we need to give more time and this is the first time we've 'trusted the process'. The core of the team wanted to leave (for none descript reasons) and weve done well to sell them unlike Diaz

Another tragic leaving interview, talks about wanting to "come back where IΒ belong" which is probably why Suhail and co were so keen to offload him.Β

I did not personally rate him but I know some did, and I always have time for an academy lad/fan of the club. Even JRC/Buck/Trav were Rovers lads and probably needed purged because of that, regardless of a debate over their quality.

Tearing the soul out the club once again, it is literally 2016/17 all over again... (not that much/any of the last 15 years has been good...)

He sounds quite comfortably the most emotional of the three they've got to make these goodbye videos.Β

Makes it quite sad in the end.Β

Only one and a half seasons ago. January 2024. Drubbed them 4-1 even though we went 1-0 down early.

Difference is they're properly ran. Their owners also came over knowing fuck all about football, but there were 2 key, massive differences, evident from the documentary:

1) They appointed good football people to run the club for them (whereas ours immediately ostracised possibly the best operator in English football at the time)

2) They gave a shit. This meant they paid attention, they learned, they had ambition.

End result?

Blackburn Rovers - relegated promptly, stagnated and declined. Not even reached the playoffs to take us back to where they found us, not once in 15 years of ownership despite having the basis of a proper stadium, history, training centre etc.

Wrexham - 5 years of ownership, started 4 whole leagues below where we started in Venkys' reign, or 3 leagues below us when the Americans took over. Have caught us up and are now snatching our best CB on deadline day, leaving us fucked. Probably finish above us this season. Despite run-down tiny stadium, fuck all history and just being (relative to us) a tinpot outfit when they took over.

Proper ownership is EVERYTHING.

Aside from having propper football men running the club, what they’ve done better than any other club in the efl is market their team to a global audience, increase revenue at the gate and through sponsorships and increases kit sales.Β

Buckley was also visibly upset, but yeah it's a tragedyΒ

To the people criticising Elliot Jackson, you may have missed that he's already given his opinion on the sale. That it's a "disaster"Β  (3.01 - live updates on LT). Current updates are just him reporting facts.

People who are comparing Rudy to waggot should know they are bloody worse as each otherΒ

I cannot believe I'm saying this, but if Hyam is out the door Rudy is much worse than Swag.

At least Swag understood you can't sell the entire core of your team in one window and expect to be competitive, even if it did mean losing someone on a free in the following window. I cannot remember a time where there was such player unrest that we sold a core group.

Starting to feel like last season he was told he was being replaced by Rudy but they'll pay him decent salary to do a handover. Normal corporate shit.

IF Harry Leonard can stay fit he could be the biggest loss of this window

That’s the only one I’m not bothered about. What’s he ever done in the time he’s been here ? If the kid from Iceland isn’t an improvement I’ll eat my hat.

Well, transfer window went from a let's wait and see how the new guys do - to an absolute disaster. We were already weak at centre half without selling our most consistent and experienced defender. I appreciate Β£2.7m for Hyam with only a year left on his contract was in isolation a good deal - but not just before the window closes and not to a league rival.

We just go from one disastrous decision to another. Have they ever got anything right in 15 years ? If every time they came to a decision they just tossed a coin they’d at least get some of them right !

Just to clarify for everyone, this is not a rhetorical question.

The answer is no.
