I agree, and that's what worries me the most. If we don't gel for many months then we could already be looking at an uphill battle post-Christmas, which is also when we tend to struggle anyway.

The plan wasn't the get rid of the core of a team that had just finished 7th.  They claim they offered all those players contracts so if we believe that to be true they couldn't have decided that squad had hit a ceiling and they wanted to try something different.  The players left because they didn't offer them good enough contracts, including some that were offered exactly the same terms they were on, as I think Rudy said.  There were no deeper issues exposed.  What you wrote is sadly nonsense.

I do hope the likes of Mori and Gudjohnsen and even perhaps Baradji come good but what has happened has happened primarily because it saves money, there is no doubt about that.

I keep saying suggestions as if we have purposefully traded our supposedly limited Championship players in tactically in favour of more exotic upgrades.

We wanted to keep all of the key players that left. All 6 of them. We didnt intend to have such a high turnover of players, theyve admitted that. Its only happened because we are totally incapable of sorting contracts out or paying competitive Championship wages.

I can only imagine that its people deluding themselves into thinking its a clever plan.

Just heard the interview with Gestede. I can’t believe his response regarding Tronstad, basically said he won’t renew and doesn’t want to stay in England (which incidentally flies in the face of that Norwegian interview he gave a while ago). 

Hardly aiding the situation of someone who is probably now our most important player asides from Cantwell.

Travis and Ham had their criticism in the last couple of seasons and it was time for them to leave with only a year left on their deals.

You could ask if Ham really wanted to be here, Trav too...it was time for a new challenge..both looked suspicious alot of times. I hope Carter, Wharton or Miller has an superb season and Tavares, Baradji or Gardner Hickman can do better than Travis , and I think they will.

The biggest miss will be Brittain but Ryan hasn't been that bad has he?

As a Rovers supporter I hope we do well this season as every supporter want their team to do well. ..the mismanagement didn't start this or last season...it started when the Vs bought the club.
