Mike Graham Posted Saturday at 09:01 Posted Saturday at 09:01 This is what Birmingham City are doing. Puts us to shame when all we are aware of are a few cloth caps (not Peaky Blinders), some additional display cases, and a home game v Derby with no fireworks. https://www.bcfc.com/pages/en/media-article/blues-launch-keep-right-on-campaign-to-mark-150th-anniversary 4 Quote

They've basically got nowt to shout about, but they'll still do it better than the donkeys running our club. Our marquee friendly was against Everton, a club we have no connection with other than the short distance and an away game that fans were banned from attending. We then got a 150th anniversary kit that had halves done incorrectly, the one thing fans asked them to do. We're probably gonna get a voicenote from Alan Shearer and an AI deep fake of the Venkys singing No Nay Never on the club's social media or something. I'm really not looking forward to that Derby game, I think it's going to be a sour, dark day in the history of the club when it should have been brilliant. lraC Posted Sunday at 08:50 Posted Sunday at 08:50 I was looking at the ladies fixtures this morning. There is a home game at Clitheroe on 02/11/25. Why not make this the focus of a fans 150th celebration and fill the ground. Maybe get some media coverage and perhaps produce a 4,000 holes special edition. No one can argue about being negative and not getting behind the lads, it’s a win, win if we do this. 4 Quote

StHelensRover Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago 4000 holes should just charge an extra £2 to have your name in their 150th anniversary edition, I'll get that instead. Still a souvenir. 1 Quote

SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Give it a few months and It'll be falling to pieces. Like everything else connected to the Club. Edited 4 hours ago by SIMON GARNERS 194 Quote
arbitro Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I quite like memorabilia like this but aside from a few words on the announcement there is no indication as to the content or contributors. Having anything to do with owners will go down like a lead balloon. 2 Quote

RevidgeBlue Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Underneath the ad for the book another message informing us "Club shop to close early at 12p.m tomorrow for "staff event". Yep celebrate Blackburn Rovers in it's 150th year folks! Quote

Expected it to be about £20. It's £40! It's actually essentially £30 with a £10 charge per name. I looked at the 2 & 3 name options for myself and my daughter and then thought about my Dad as well, they're both £50 & £60 respectively! FOV Quote

Mike Graham Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) If the book is a limited edition it is normal to state how many are being produced for sale. A little birdy at Ewood tells me they are doing a “gold trimmed edition for special guests”. I guess the club executives are expecting us to subsidise these. Edited 1 hour ago by Mike Graham Quote
Tomphil2 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) How many staff events does the club shop host ? Edited 1 hour ago by Tomphil2 Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Is it hard back or paperback? Difficult to tell from the photo. Quote

Backroom Tom Posted 54 minutes ago Backroom Posted 54 minutes ago I think the book is a nice idea but given the amount of AI used in recent comms they could do with sharing more about the content Quote
