Reminds of when my wife-to-be (now ex) wanted all the blokes at our wedding to wear white roses. When I refused and said I would only wear a red one she thought I was being daft - until she spoke to her dad, my dad and her brother-in-law. They all backed me 100% and she had to give in!

So Rovers are offering a free draw to supporters who buy a new shirt but only if they are bought online. A few weeks ago every season ticket holder was invited to Ewood for the home team shirt launch to buy them. Several hundred queued and bought them in the night but will now be excluded from this draw because of something Rovers actually initiated and actively encouraged.

I have written to Lynsey Talbot about this but I am expecting a reply using names on the database of online orders as the excuse. In my email I have anticipated her answer by asking why this draw wasn't for season ticket holders

But only those supporters who pay £60 a time to buy a third kit that will only be worn by the players a few times and before we've even released the away kit.

And only if you buy online, which for clothing is always a risk as you don't have chance to get a feel for it before buying.

And if you do you go into a lottery to get 25% off stadium tours.

For me not really much of an incentive.

Offer a family season ticket or something.  Not like they don't have any spare seats.

It's quite embarrassing really and has some under qualified employees grubby prints all over it.

These kits are alright, but not for this season. As others have said, this shirt should have had the BwD coat of arms on, and possibly some gold trim. I'd argues green and black halves makes more sense than the two greens as well.

For the home, I get that there is going to be an "anniversary" kit but a Port Vale style throwback would have been nice too. The one we have has absolutely nothing special about it. 

As with everything Venkys, it's minimal effort to try and extract as much money out of the core fanbase as possible without offering anything in return.

On another note - increasing amount of Twitter bots defending everything rovers - always a few telltales but it's actually mental the amount of fake accounts being made to defend Rovers/Venkys, from money (fans are the problem) to defending anything commercial, when I think they've done terribly with everything commercial.

Further to my earlier post regarding Rovers Golden 150 I came out of the Rovers shop earlier and noticed a guy filming and asking people for their opinions on the shirt.

I told him about what I believe is the unfairness and he quickly distanced himself from it by saying he had only been in the position for a week but had seen the communication yesterday. I quickly explained my issue with it and he agreed completely it was unfair. He took some details and said he would talk to the relevant people (or as my gut tells me person).

He was a nice young man, really approachable and my parting shot was for him to get used to decisions that irk loyal supporters. He thought I was joking 😂.

They've clearly got AI on the case now across social media.

Quite what they hope to gain by it i don't know because it just adds to getting peoples backs up and it won't be free so just another waste of money.

Home shirt - Shit. Can't even reverse the halves on the back so in my opinion it isn't a Rovers shirt.

Third Kit - Bland and bog standard. Lazy attempt. Must do better. We're from Lancashire, our rose is red not white you fucking mushrooms.

I'm actually glad they have fucked this up so much, gives us more room to do it properly.
