JHRover Posted Wednesday at 19:31 Posted Wednesday at 19:31 Impressive boycott at Hillsborough tonight. The place is empty save for the Boro contingent. 4 Quote

You either fill the ground and make it extremely difficult for the ownership week-in week-out with banners, chants, game interruptions, etc (will never happen with our fans - get behind the lads ffs, etc) or mass boycott (will also never happen for the same reason as the first suggestion). There isn't really an in-between that will get any attention. Not that I think Venky's would care either way, and that's the biggest problem. Protests are only effective if it makes the owner(s) squirm. They just ignore it all as it's far away and has zero impact on anything they actually care about. It's tough to know what to do, but your typical crowd protests at the match aren't going to get their attention. 2 Quote
Mattyblue Posted Thursday at 06:00 Posted Thursday at 06:00 Yep, by now we should have all long realised that Ewood on a matchday is irrelevant as the will just isn’t there. The only ‘squirming’ they’ve done in years was last season on the back of Glen et al’s social media/traditional media campaign - stick with that as it did get traction. 1 Quote
G Somerset Rover Posted Thursday at 08:12 Posted Thursday at 08:12 (edited) You’ll certainly get Pasha squirming if that ramps up again. Start another real campaign against him again, make his life and ‘job’ at Ewood a misery and see what happens. If we could somehow edge out their chief lieutenant the dominos could fall. Would seem out best bet IMO. Edited Thursday at 08:14 by G Somerset Rover 1 Quote
Backroom Silas Posted Thursday at 14:41 Backroom Posted Thursday at 14:41 Shane Duffy doing Shane Duffy things: https://www.balls.ie/football/shane-duffy-norwich-city-fan-642715 In the interest of balance, he did come out with a full apology after. Regardless, there's only one knob, and it's the professional footballer getting into twitter spats with fans at the age of 33. Quote

Backroom DE. Posted yesterday at 07:26 Backroom Posted yesterday at 07:26 Love how the "apology" was blatantly written by somebody who has basic literacy skills as opposed to Duffy. Assume the club had a word with him and provided that statement for him to post. Quote

Bronzed A Donis Posted yesterday at 11:15 Posted yesterday at 11:15 Filing for Admin at Sheffield Wednesday. Like many football clubs, it has been trading at a significant loss for many years, with those losses historically funded by the owner. Mr Chansiri is no longer willing to provide that financial support. "While the recent fan boycott has not directly caused the insolvency, it has increased financial pressure on the club. As a result, the owner has chosen to place the club into administration. 2 Quote

I think the season he saved us did some real damage to him. He played many games with injections towards the end of that season. 1 1 Quote
