If they were to go on a good run of form and finish 3rd or 4th then they could still possibly keep their playoff place even with the points taken away. I think automatics are extremely unlikely, but playoffs could still happen in theory. They'd need a really quick turnaround in form though, pretty much immediately, and sustain it for most of the rest of the season. I thought I read 15 points somewhere. They aren't in good form but playoffs could be option if they turn that around. I think he is good coach but he needs the chance to bring in his own players. Need a quality striker in that team Quote

Simon Jordan was saying last week how he had put together a consortium to buy Wednesday but they were put off by the EFL having a "25p in the pence rule". Apparently the former owner Chansiri must get a guaranteed amount or Wednesday get an extra 15 point deduction on top of everything else. I've never heard of this before. Is that right, and if so what's the reasoning behind it? Sounds like it's a reward for running the Club badly to me. Could it have adverse ramifications for us if Venky's ever agree to sell? Quote

Yes been around hasnt it the 25p rule. Jordan wasnt the main man or investor but part investor with main investor being the main man. Ashley hasn't bidded enough either at £20m. But 3 bidders have bidding at £30m Quote

Is that in addition to the £30m asking price? Quote

Potential owners have to show them had £50m proof of funds. This is cutting out waste of time bids. 3 potential owners have bidding £30m for the club. It will be interesting what any new owner plan is for the club cos the club is basically relegate before they purchase. So its massive rebuilding job. Surely they appoint an experience management team including good experience head coach Quote
