i`ve got expectations that tyjon will get a fair bit of first team action this season,it`s time for him to step up imo

If he’s genuinely good then the pathway is open.

Time to step up at 17 years old?

If teams are offering £1m sight unseen at 17 years old then yeah.

Aren't they offering £1m because of his potential rather than what he can do right now?

Saying it's time for a 17-year old to step up to anything is laughable in my opinion.

Do we know whether it's Ohashi at 9 and Tyjon at 10 or the other way around? Anyone there confirm?

I've always sort of thought that deeper in a front 2 might be Ohashi's best position rather than leading the line.

Tyjon at 10 according to Jackson

Rooney was.

Can you name many more out of the thousands that have played the game? Players like Rooney are the exception

you can`t keep wrapping younger players up in cotton wool, continually playing them in the u21`s,that does`nt prepare you for first team action, ease tyjon in with 1/2 hour in homes games and if he impresses give him longer

if your good enough then your old enough

Yes, but that's not even half of the story.

Were Wharton, Dunn, or Duff good enough at 17? The answer is no. They weren't ready for first team football until after 18, and they were our best academy products of all time. Surely you're not suggesting we get rid of Tyjon if he doesn't "step up" to the first team this season. We all know how football works when it comes to big clubs poaching younger players, even when it's not clear that they'll fulfil their potential. Just because a Champions League club is prepared to pay £1m for him, which is loose change down the back of the sofa for Arsenal, it doesn't mean he's got to step up now or... or what?

Phil Jones was languishing "in the stiffs"? He was a star in the U21s at the time and a clear breakthrough prospect. So is Tyjon, actually, but what makes you think a 17 year old "must step up"? So I ask the question to you, step up, or what? Sell him because he's not good enough when he's not even a grown adult?

You said it's "time for Tyjon to step up". I'm asking you why. Never mind.
