Kargbo is absolutely shocking defensively.

he`s a centre back,it`s his job to kick the c/f,head it away and tackle,if we had a centre back who could pass the ball then he would`nt be here for long 🙂

He's a CB that's just played a blind pass back to his GK. He does it all the time.

I’m think Pedersen because of the set pieces, but even a Bargain Bert would be a great find.

We've been pretty good. Main thing is we look fit and organised which is a good reflection on Ismael, and the players under contract/ transfer speculation all seem committed and hard working.

Better than I was expecting.

Ohashi still not providing enough from CF. 

Fantastic finisher (for our level) but he has to offer more. Their CBs are playing with their slippers on.

Better than I was expecting.

It's only one in-swinging corner, but it was a good one. If that's his standard then he's worth a place on the team sheet just for that. As long as he continues working hard covering ground on the wing of course.

Impressive first half from us..

Good well work goal. Brittain has been Impressive. Committed. 

Wharton has the better of Beto all game. 

Cantwell looks much fitter than last season. Big season from him..

Tactical, whenever Toth has the ball in his hands or goal kick, Hyam Wharton and Ribeiro become a back 3, Tronstad and Travis in front, with Brittain high wide on right De Neve high wide on left, cantwell and Hedges has 10's with Ohashi as the 9. 

We look very well organised, players understand their roles and we look fit

Hes not a top Championship striker but hes pretty solid. Not quick, strong, good in the air or tricky... But is absolutely relentless and finishes when he gets a sniff as you say.

I take ohashi over 80% of the strikers Ive seen in rovers colours in the Championship.

Gueye though is the one with the raw attributes to have a phenomenal season if the stars align for him. If he is on song hes unplayable.

Chaddy, this sounds like we can be somewhat cautiously optimistic about our defending. Might have to be; offensively, we may not be as strong as last season. I know it’s early yet.

Agreed. Obviously a good finisher but there is a fair bit lacking from his game.

I thought we had the balance perfect at the start of last year - Gueye starts the match then Ohashi comes on from the 70th minute onwards and nips in against tired legs. 

Somehow he's the starter now - I just don't see him do enough to warrant it (and I do actually like him as a player, but he's a Solskjaer).

We can cautiously optimistic for the season overall. Yes we need some more signings before the window ends but we have good nuclear of a good championship squad. Need abit of quality and depth now

There will he a huge weakness in this side when Brittain goes.

For the new lad not to be even on the bench when not injured tells its own story.

Good half though, front 4 have all worked really well and pressed well, lovely goal too.

Ohashi isn't a target man type you seem to want but Ohashi is quality and he has shown it. Him and Cantwell suites each other. 

We aren't looking to play target man type football but looking to pass the ball more and created more. 

We actually look threatening from Set pieces

Ismael clearly wants workrate and pressing from the front of the pitch which suits Yuki better. If you look at the good run at the end of the season, Gueye never got more than 20 minutes in any of those games.
