On the eve of the new season I think it's important to remember that we like every other team have 46 games, we'll win plenty and lose plenty but hopefully we'll give it a real go this year. The Championship is relentless and easily one of the best leagues in the world for entertainment, just so unpredictable. All the new players have potential, just got to give them a little time, the manager has his own ideas and with a window under his belt, a chance to show what he can do. I expect lots more twists and turns in this window, expect a couple to move on as well as a few more arrivals but I'm excited for the season. I think 10th would be a respectable finish but like I said, such an unpredictable league so anything really could happen. Lets back them all the way and make our 150th year one to remember!!

Where are the goals coming from in the side, beside some from Ohashi?

I don't think they'll be too far off with that. Just about have enough belief that we'll avoid relegation but I think we'll be down there. That hope might have evaporated by tomorrow evening though.

No Cantwell is a massive blow.

Just stick Henriksson in to start. He was mid season anyway so not like he should be unfit.

The reason we desperately needed a #10. Cantwell can't be relied upon - he always picks up knocks, niggles and colds that keep him out of games.

With Cantwell out Gueye may start with Ohashi taking Cantwell's position. We really need to sign a striker and improve the squad overall. Don't think Henriksson will start since he just arrived. Really hope Henriksson can avoid injuries because his injury record is definitely concerning. Think he will be a good signing if he can.

Just noticed that the game is live on Skysports Arena? Didn't think 3pm kick off's were allowed to be broadcast?

I think its different rules for broadcasts if there are no top flight games on a 3pm on a Saturday

Sky broadcast all opening EFL games and every game at the end of season as part of this new EFL TV deal

Agree - Ohashi and Gueye can both player as either number 9s or 10s (Gueye is counter intuitively very good with his feet when he drops off, think I prefer him at 10 to up top on his own) so we could just play them together. But Ismael has explicitly called out Henricksson as being match fit so expecting him to get the nod at 10 and Ohashi up top with Gueye on the bench.

Lets wait and see how the season panned out, some players we don't know alot about but I am looking for Ohashi to get 15 goals plus this season and Gueye around 10 goals, Then you are looking for your wide players/attacking midfielders to score between 20-25 players.

I dont see 25 goals between them 2, but focusing on your 20-25 goals between our attacking midfielders. Thats what I am asking, where are they from?

De Neve has never scored more than 2 in a season. Hedges never scores, youve even said hes "not that type of player," he got 1 last season. Cantwell got 1 from open play.
