Popular Post BRFC4EVA Posted August 12 Popular Post Posted August 12 (edited) Not much else to say. We are in serious trouble. No creativity, no threat, no goals. I don't think it is too early to open this, we are in a relegation battle already. Experienced players let go to be replaced by vastly inferior players. Venkys and all their minions OUT! simongarnerisgod Posted August 12 Posted August 12 lets see in 10 games,we`ll be able to gauge it then Quote
StHelensRover Posted August 12 Posted August 12 These two awful performances have given us chance to see the whole squad in action. I just went back and looked at the squad we went down with in 2017. If those two sides (2017 and 2025) were playing each other this weekend, I don't think there would be much between them. That side we went down with had 12 goals for Graham and 10 for Sam Gallagher in it, I can't see us having two players who hit double figures this season. Grim. 4 Quote

I said after Saturday, we won't amass 30 points this season and I am sticking with that. The squad is bloody awful.. If Travis does go this week , I might revise it to 25 points.. We will sign someone a lot worse! Edited August 12 by Waggy76 1 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted August 12 Posted August 12 if we do go down this time im`e pretty sure we won`t be coming back up for a long time, long way to go yet though 2 Quote
Rogerb Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Can't keep a clean sheet and struggle to score more than one. 1 Quote

In some ways, we were unlucky to go be relegated, shenanigans with Huddersfield and Birmingham. But this team will be down by Easter! 1 Quote

Athlete Posted August 13 Posted August 13 The 2017 side was a lot better than this..just hope theres three worse sides 1 Quote
Norbert Rassragr Posted August 13 Posted August 13 You'll hate me for this, but I put £8 on us to go down at 9/2. £2 on another team, but I forgot who. I'd want to be compensated for absolute clown show in the boardroom and on the pitch. 1 Quote

It’s not a nailed on certainty guys 🤣 We have 45 games ahead of us and a relatively competitive squad. And a solid experienced manager. Don’t think we’re coming anywhere close to play offs obviously, but there are at least 8 clubs I wouldn’t swap our squad+manager with. As for ownership, I’d swap with the 22 (all excluding Chansiri). Too early for this! Quote

roversfan99 Posted August 16 Posted August 16 I think rock bottom will be Sheffield Wednesday, especially with an inevitable points deduction. I certainly dont see an obvious 8 worse squad and manager combinations though especially once Travis and maybe even Tronstad and Hyam leave. Quote

I hadn't factored in the points deduction for Sheff Wed it hasn't happened yet. If it is only 3 or 4 points , I stick to my prediction . Quote
StHelensRover Posted August 16 Posted August 16 (edited) I don't think we'll definitely go down, I think we'll be in the mix for a fair amount of the season though, looking over our shoulders nervously most of the year. Edit - when we last went down, the league was extremely competitive and we went down with a very high points total. Our side right now as I mentioned previously is probably not better than the one that went down but I think the high watermark will be way lower than 50 points so we'll be ok. The team finishing 4th from bottom in the Championship has attained at least 49 points And most seasons, you don't have Birmingham & Wrexham coming up and throwing millions at it 2 Quote

Only really leaves two slots Quote

Proudtobeblue&white Posted August 16 Posted August 16 I don't want, and wish I wasn't, the harbinger of doom, but this is the culmination of 15-years of mismanagement/incompetence/corruption and neglect. Yes, it will be a long season, but those who own us couldn't give a shit. 150 years and nothing to celebrate. Keeping Jack's legacy my arse. FUCK OFF VENKYS!!!! 4 Quote

They've come out the other side with rich, ambitious owners. 1 Quote
Backroom Popular Post DE. Posted August 16 Backroom Popular Post Posted August 16 Think there are still a lot of fans who have not grasped how catastrophic this summer has been for us. The loss of Championship experience and leadership is going to really take its toll as the season goes on. Cheap replacements from foreign leagues will not be adequate. I truly believe we are in deep, deep trouble. Of course, I would love nothing more than to be wrong and hope that at the end of the season this post will be quoted as being totally ridiculous. 11 Quote
