These two awful performances have given us chance to see the whole squad in action.

I just went back and looked at the squad we went down with in 2017.

If those two sides (2017 and 2025) were playing each other this weekend, I don't think there would be much between them. That side we went down with had 12 goals for Graham and 10 for Sam Gallagher in it, I can't see us having two players who hit double figures this season. Grim.

I said after Saturday, we won't amass 30 points this season and I am sticking with that.

The squad is bloody awful..

If Travis does go this week , I might revise it to 25 points..

We will sign someone a lot worse!

In some ways, we were unlucky to go be relegated, shenanigans with Huddersfield and Birmingham.

But this team will be down by Easter!

Nailed on certainty this year.

It’s not a nailed on certainty guys 🤣

We have 45 games ahead of us and a relatively competitive squad. And a solid experienced manager.

Don’t think we’re coming anywhere close to play offs obviously, but there are at least 8 clubs I wouldn’t swap our squad+manager with. As for ownership, I’d swap with the 22 (all excluding Chansiri).

Too early for this!

I admire your  positivity but I will be amazed if we don't finish rock bottom..

I think rock bottom will be Sheffield Wednesday, especially with an inevitable points deduction.

I certainly dont see an obvious 8 worse squad and manager combinations though especially once Travis and maybe even Tronstad and Hyam leave.

I hadn't factored in the points deduction for Sheff Wed it hasn't happened yet.

If it is only 3 or 4 points  , I stick to my prediction .

I don't think we'll definitely go down, I think we'll be in the mix for a fair amount of the season though, looking over our shoulders nervously most of the year.

Edit - when we last went down, the league was extremely competitive and we went down with a very high points total. Our side right now as I mentioned previously is probably not better than the one that went down but I think the high watermark will be way lower than 50 points so we'll be ok.

The last 3 seasons.  The team finishing 4th from bottom in the Championship has attained at least 49 points

And most seasons, you don't have Birmingham & Wrexham coming up and throwing millions at it

Fingers crossed the standard is a bit poorer than the last few seasons, it's horrible for Sheff Weds fans given the circumstances but a quiet relief for everyone else that they're almost nailed on to go down. Only really leaves two slots
