There is a gap starting to open up between the bottom five and those above.

True Sheff Wed, Rovers and Oxford   I suspect are doomed, soon those 3 will be adrift, Sheff Wed have a chance if no points deduction!

Yeah, it's a huge concern.

Southampton, who are 18th, have nearly double (12) the amount of points we do (7).

When they turn us over tomorrow, they'll be 8 points clear.

18. S'oton - 12 Points

19. Derby - 11 Points

20. Oxford - 9 points

21. Sheff Utd - 9 points

22. Norwich - 8 points

23. Rovers - 7 points

24. Sheff Wed - 6 points

Norwich will sack Manning soon enough, Sheff Utd will get better and climb the table under Wilder, Derby have been poor but Eustace will start digging them out of trouble soon enough. Usually, someone drops like stone at some point in the season and heads toward danger but it will probably be too late for us.

The absolute brass neck of the clubs hierarchy to suggest we aren't in a relegation battle is laughable.

Looks like Sheffield Wednesday will be deducted 10 points shortly as they are heading into administration today.

Be a tough 2-3 years or so for them while they rebuild, but I would bet everything I own that they will be league or two higher than Rovers by the time we get into the next decade.

Wednesday will be going down and they know it. It has been inflicted on them by their owner and his financial decisions.

Very similar to Rovers then, the big difference being that our mob have used cash from player sales to pay the bills whereas Wednesday haven't really had that option.

A year from now Wednesday will be in League One but most importantly rid of Chansiri and under new ownership. They can move on and look forward. What have we got?

It's a strange paradox I'm feeling about the news that Sheffield Wednesday will almost certainly be consigned to relegation if they are deducted 10 points. Whilst they will take up a relegation spot (it's likely one less to worry about for us) it moves them closer I believe to getting rid of their awful owner yet we are stuck with ours with no sign of anything like that happening to us.

In a strange way it takes the pressure off the whole club unlike us where our purgatory seems eternal.

Football fans and clubs deserve far better.

Yes and regardless of the division they are playing in their fans will be going into games optimistic, feeling that whatever result they get, everyone at the club is at least pulling in the right direction. They're a historic club with a good fan base, they'll be getting at least 20,000 every week in league one, probably 30,000 if they're playing well and they'll eventually back in this division. While we'll be rattling round in front of smaller and smaller crowds, fed up.

Wow...just wow.

If this is the jangled thought process of some of our fans then we are truly finished.

Agree with both of you. Short term pain for Wedneday fans but a real chance to move forward without Chansiri.

We'll be relegated and still have Venky's. Absolute torture.

I think our only hope, is that somehow the pressure from WATR the coalition and the other groups makes them cave.

How crazy is it that us fans, want us to enter administration, so desperate are we to get rid of these parasites.

Apparently Chansiri owns the ground which isn't subject to administration so it will be difficult to get rid of him according to Nixon.

Unfortunately for Wednesday fans this might not be the end for them .

Really? The worst of both worlds for Weds fans, you've gotta feel for them. We know only too well about poor ownership.

I think he has borrowings on that (Separate Limited Company), so with a bit of luck, the Mortgage provider will repossess it and sell that to the administrators, assuming it is in default, which from memory it is

I'm sure the Wednesday fans will have a party at Hillsborough tomorrow regardless of the result and league position. I can only dream of the party we'll be able to have if the Vs ever leave.

Interesting stat on Sky Sports News :

Derby were the last Champonship club to go into administration in 2021 ..

They are above us now !

I can only imagine that's been written by someone very young who hasn't witnessed a relegation battle or the early warning signs.

I can imagine it being written by a club employee, I don't think there could be many genuine match-goers who could press send on that tweet, young or old

I think our only hope is that a 'whistleblower' from the last 15 years comes forward and opens up any can(s) of worms!

Doubt it will be that straightforward!

Difficult to comment without more specifics but a lender which has taken security has a number of options available when it comes to enforcing its security.

Reasonable care must be taken to obtain the best price reasonably obtainable for the asset - these duties are owed to all creditors (other secured, preferential and other unsecured) and also to the borrower!

He should get a data job down Brockhall, they all work to that metric.

That was the other thing that was very noticable for me against Sheffield. When we were losing and not looking like scoring the  camera showed a few shots of VI (looking lost) and the bench behind him. Whitehead and Benson were furiously scribbling notes, glassy eyed and silent.
