The way we imploded today was extremely reminiscent of the way we were unable to hold onto a lead for neither love nor money towards the end of a game under Owen Coyle.

Think I remember us losing one game 3-2 when we were 2-0 up on 85 mins.

Difference here was we weren't trying to hang on,we got punished being too gung ho going for the win.

Played fine until it mattered, and were worth the win as we entered the 90th minute.

Unfortunately you have to see games out.

Loser mentality from a loser club, there will be many more days like this, this season.

Nail.

Hammer.

Head.

Best players are leaving - they've had enough and seen the light - and we are replacing them with has beens and dross. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys! Simple. Glad I didn't renew. This is just the beginning of the end of this once great Club.

Think that's being a bit negative after our performance we shone in areas and credit where credits due. Cantwell took his goal well, the only wayvthey were gonna get an advantage on us was to go down in a key area and managed it several times.

The last goal was sloppy defending/goal keeping.

Just frustrating 😑

I applaud your positivity, and wish I could share it .
My post is not knee jerk …  my knee has been jerking for 15 years . Good luck to those who have hope  … there must be some in the same page as Pasha and Gestede … but the numbers decrease with every passing day .

Just seen the pen, Miller left a leg out when he didn't need to. Soft, yes.

Suffered there losing Alebiosu.

First home game of the season and VI is already short of options.

Tavares only played for 60 minutes most of the games last season in Portugal ,so why was he left on when his legs had gone?

We only seem to want players that can`t compete for 90 minutes +(cause they cost less?).

Only good thing today Eustace`s Derby conceding 5. That`s taken the sting away somewhat!!

No comment from Valerian. He must be one disillusioned individual but then his pay cheque and eventual compensation for the sack will provide solace!

He won't get sacked he'll have to walk or engineer an exit somewhere else.

He was making quite a difference both at his feet and in the air

Wasn’t overly impressed with Tavares today tbh.  Bit too casual, and 90% of his passing was 5 yards too short or long.  And the corner - one of the worst I’ve ever seen.

Yes but he’s under contract and didn’t refuse to play, so back in the XI he’ll go

He did but it was on De Neve to put him in that position. Still think the player was looking for it.

Casual is exactly what I've been saying after the game. Wasn't impressed with him at all. He'll need to improve if he's going to be a starter. Will be interesting to see who they bring in to replace Travis.

At least the club got their priorities right in kissing the arse of the away fans.

I think Birmingham City will have paid the private company for that ad space, won't be anything to do with us. It's impressive attention to detail from their owners that our owners couldn't possibly grasp.

With those Elonex signs, I think anyone can pay for the digital ads wherever they want to target. Did you see Liverpool fans did it to the big hoarding as you arrive into Manchester when they won the title in May?

Christ, we literally must be the actual world record holders for goals conceded beyond 90 minutes. How many times over the last 5 seasons?!! It's incredible.

Bad teams concede at the death regularly. Good team score at the death regularly. How long ago is it since we came from a goal down to win in the last ten minutes ? It must be years ago.

I was thinking this, too. Going into the last 5 mins I felt sure City would have at least one big chance to get something from the game. And when it went to 1-1 with 10 extra minutes to play, I felt no confidence whatsoever that Rovers would strike back. There have been so many of our games that play out like this late in the match - and (virtually) never in our favour. That speaks not to refereeing, or 'luck', but to character, mindset, fitness, confidence, or all the above. The club has become overrun by losers and people who aren't good enough for whatever role they have, at all levels. We are a mess and I defy anyone to say administration and a fresh start would not be preferable to this horrific experience.

Well, now even if we're winning going into the final 5 mins teams will believe there's a way back, and we'll be fearful of losing.

This is going to be a fucker of a season.

Any team playing against us always know there’s a chance of us imploding no matter how late it is in the game. Against other teams they might lose heart but against us they’ll always have a chance. So they keep going when otherwise they may not.

10/10. character and mindset. That is the difference. There is a losing mentality that pervades the club from top to bottom.
