The Man Who....wasn't offered a proper contract and forced out the door? Can't believe any fans fall for their tripe.

From the article...

His newly found  “renaissance” might have encouraged the Rovers’ hierarchy to look at offering a more favourable contract in an honest  attempt to retain the player’s services.  Obviously not.

Agree...... but I thought this particular article was fair and balanced. Don't think the author is "falling for" any of it.

Not clear enough Revidge, wasn't directed towards the author of this article which agree is balanced - born out frustration that the politicking from the usual suspects at the club seems to work so effectively amongst the wider fanbase.

Don't disagree.

It is the Venkys  who ought to be going .

Nothing changes , cheaper options all the time as been since Sam was replaced by Kean !

When the Indians purchased the club , we were a top ten Premier League club , look at us now .

Venkys Out is all that matters !

The article does seem to appear reasonably balanced -it's the headline that beautifully shifts the blame to the player without being aggressive.

And I will take the blame for that...I just wanted to use the Travis album cover...!

I'd been working on a (now redundant) tee shirt design for our store & wanted to use it somewhere... 😆

3 million and a sell on my backside they were offering 1.2 million a week or so ago.

Yes i think he wanted out because he's wanted a better contract for a while and no way here were they giving him 4 years on the same of better money. Eustace has known the mess behind the scenes here and he tried to sort it but was fobbed off so it's a bit daft trying to blame him for everything it's this club sheer incompetence that causes it all.

Maybe on purpose, maybe not.

Anyway i'm sure the couple of million in real life terms this deal will net will come in handy, good luck to Trav i'm sure he'll have a decent career at Derby......for as long as Eustace is around.

'So glad we are out' really hurts.

Even though I know the reasons why, even though I don’t blame a single person for feeling that way, and know I would probably feel, and do, exactly the same in that position.

Still can't help but feel like a divorced Dad after my partner has packed up and left with the kids.

Sat miserable in the living room eating a Pot Noodle.

Grim. Angry, bitter, and jealous.

It's a shame it ended the way it did. Under another set of owners Travis may have been a part of a return to the PL - although I don't think he's good enough to play at that level. Alas, under Venky's it was never going to happen.

Have to hope this Baradji fella is the real deal.

Not a phrase I've ever used, but hasn't Travis been one of the "rubber dinghy men" for the past few seasons? In fact captain of the rubber dinghy.

it's football, it happens, it's totally detached from "real" life.

Bullying? Come on, get a grip,it's as cut throat as it gets.

The days of pinning colours to the mast for any player are well gone. I'll wish him well, thank him for his efforts and move on, probably won't even give him a second thought when we kick off on Saturday.

The good news here is that the club might actually be starting to work more "normally". Cashing in on both Britain and Travis who wouldn't sign contracts is a welcome change of direction.

Derby were low balling us just like they were doing to sign Max Johnston
