We need to put the Charlton game behind us, and get points on the board. Swansea and Stoke are far from easy games, they've both got off to a decent start. Let's pick the right team, and formation, and start winning at home.

Why are the Lancashire Telegraph banned from Ewood. They've been reporting on Rovers matches since 1886.

Feels like we have a few players who may have played crap yesterday but should definitely start. Toth, Cantwell, Morishita, Wharton, Tronstad.

Then in the other positions, its just about playing those who are the least crap or the least out of position.

Pickering didnt do enough so put Ribeiro back in. We only have 2 centre backs so even though hes left footed, McLoughlin in and Miller at RB. Not square pegs in round holes.

As expected, there is a big hole upon Travis leaving next to Tronstad. Baradji signed up to the physio room. Tavares is dreadful. TGH probably the best bet although theres a reason Birmingham loaned him out having never established himself at any of the 3 clubs.

Out wide is a problem too. Hedges always tricks people into thinking hes coming good with his annual early season goal and couple of decent performances but hes already reverting to the mean. Kargbo is terrible. And De Neve and Henriksson are clearly nowhere near up to it.

And up front, maybe give Gudjohnsen a first start.

What ever the reason is there needs to be a grown up conversation to get this rediculous disagreement sorted.

Your preferred team Chaddy or is it know Alebiousi(sp) will be out injured.  Other than that your line up looks like it is well worth a try.  We need to get Gudjohnsen going before he loses interest.  He has looked sharp, yesterday the exception, but we need to make sure we play him to keep that

Never thought I'd say this but I think we need Forshaw back fit asap. !

Noticed Sam Morsy being made available and could be available in January. May be worth a punt, getting on a bit now but still kept Travis out of the Ipswich side when he was there.

I don't know if Alebiosu is fit but I taken he won't be sadly

We dont need Forshaw back. Even before injury, he was long past being a competent Championship starter.

Dont let his absence fool you otherwise.

I don't think he was as bad as some made out when he did play. Granted he's no world beater, but he's a steady Eddie with proven championship experience. Believe he may get a run out for the u21s tomorrow

I think its indicative of how poor our recruitment was in that position that anyone is thinking this.

Our performances were notably poorer when he was starting games. Maybe has a role coming on as a sub to help see a game out, if he is starting games now then something has gone horribly wrong.

He was a steady eddie years and years ago at this level. He isnt now.

Assuming Abeliosu is injured.

So would go:

                         Toth

Miller.  Mcloughlin  wharton.  Ribiero

             TGH.           Tronstad

Morishita.      Cantwell.       Kargbo

                     Gudjohnsen

Seeing a lot say Gudjohnsen but whilst Yuki didn't do much yesterday he somehow did considerably less. Even Gueye was more impactful.

Admittedly I didn't see the last two games but absolutely nothing I saw of him made me think "yeah, he should be starting".

Probably get more supporters at Ewood, with the LT write ups on the matches.

Miller's long throw ins give us a bit of an edge.

Has to be this (unless Alebiosu is back fit)

Must win game, just 6 game in and here we are.

No hard luck stories, no moaning about a ref, no awful weather conditions, just 3 fucking points.

This is a huge game, along with the Stoke home game next weekend, because after the international break we have an immensely tough run of fixtures....and the thing is, both Swansea and Stoke have started the season very well too, so are by no means 'easy' matches.

I'd be tempted to really shake things up system wise but I doubt it will happen as there would only be one day of training to work on it.

I'm predicting this starting 11 from Ismael:

                                Toth

Alebiosu (if fit)   Miller    McLoughlin   Ribeirio

                     TGH        Tronstad

Morishita           Cantwell             Hedges

                        Gudjohnsen

If Alebiosu is not fit, then I guess he'll do what he did 2nd half against Charlton and put Tavares in the middle with TGH at RB.....because that went well.

Rovers 1 - 2 Swansea. Gudjohnsen to score.

Impressed with Vipotnik for Swansea who joined them on a free transfer last year. 22 year old international who has been in the goals this season.

I'll be watching a show in Liverpool, with my eldest, on Tuesday night - so I'll miss this entirely.

And, honestly, it's a bit of a relief.
