I can't see a win, either. Here or for the foreseeable future. But i also can't see any toxic reaction coming. The time for that is several years past, with little if any impact from those sporadic occasions during Venkys time here. I think most fans have given up fighting/wasting effort/money/hoping. I had planned to travel up for this one but I simply dont see the point in terms of the game, the 'product', or the ability of the fanbase to influence the future of the club. Negative, i know, but what at the Rovers is leading towards anything different? 3-1 to Saints and Rovers propping up the league. Ismael praises the performance.

I'd go with same formation unless injuries occur.

Scoreline 8-0.

Southampton.

I'll be watching via phone notification

Since Southampton won the play off final in May 2024, they have won just 4 league games.

They couldn't ask for a better game at the minute.

Rovers 0 Southampton 2.

We limp on.

Southampton are terrible at the moment, so an easy 3 points for them.

If memory serves me right a few Rovers managers have been dismissed following a defeat to Southampton - Roy Hodgson and I am sure there was another around that era?  Here's hoping!

Remember that game was in the Blackburn end. The atmosphere was toxic during the game.  Doubt any rovers fan will let a whisper out if we're losing this one

3-0 Southampton

Cantwell will trip himself up in the penalty area and not get a pen,Val will blame this for our loss.

Cantwell won’t be fit for this game. Possibly back for Leicester.

I always say that momentum is massive in football.

And we're on a gigantic negative run of momentum at the moment.

Very, very difficult to see anything other than a defeat, however shite Soton may be (also see Sheffield, U).

We ain't winning and we don't do draws. Southampton will cruise to a 0-2 victory.

From our point on view, I'd scrap the back 3 and go back to 4-2-3-1.

Well they're advertising flexible season tickets which must surely mean you get an ST in the summer, but if you decide not to go to a particular game you get your money back each time.

That's only fair under present circumstances I'd say.

A great marketing ploy right there. What are they waiting for?

No messing about back then.

I'm pretty sure Hodgson had been sacked before I got back to the train station after that game.

Here we'll dither on until Ismael is of no use to Pasha/Rudy anymore.

Ismael has said 'its on us' as he and the team must take responsibility for results....well fook me,no shit Sherlock!!

Finally realised that losing is becoming the norm Val,penny dropped?

Lose this and you need to be gone sunny, enough is enough.

It's a cop out from Ismael by using the word 'us'. If course the players have a responsibility but results are primarily down to him and his coaching staff. He ultimately carries the can and his deflection shows a real weakness in my view.

Good managers, through smart tactics, team shape and substitutions will eke points out of difficult situations whereas poor managers won't.

I have a feeling (usually wrong), that we might well pull something out of the fire here. The pressure is mounting big time, and in my experience, Rovers have a little habit of winning a game when managers are under such intense scrutiny.

Saints have been desperately poor by their expectations, and I think Still will be dispensed with way before Ismael is.  Not sure the Saints players have much respect for him, don't think the fans are having him, and i's a 5-hour journey for them after a midweek defeat.

I'm torn between 1-1 and 2-1 Rovers.
