Popular Post Bohinen1983 Posted 3 hours ago Popular Post Posted 3 hours ago Thought we were excellent first half. Resilient 2nd. Whist Toth is most def my preferred no1 and I'm not a massive Pears fan. I was calling out for him to come on for Toth. This is EXACTLY why you want an experienced no2. The alternative is Michalski, who, I'm sure is and will be a future no1 for us, but not yet. Everyone did very well tonight. Great result. Even Foreshaw, well done cockerspaniel. King MAKHTAR! * I asked my wife to buy me a few beers, she purchased: 6.4, 6.8, 6.2 and an 8% beer for me. I'd have been happy with a few Skols. To make matters worse I've drank an ALDI cider. I just want to enjoy watching the Rovers and my short term memory feels impaired so I am risking it and asking my wife to read this* She said everything is okay, so that's my opinion. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. 13 Quote

We had Pears on the pitch for 10 minutes and he literally didn’t have to touch the ball in any way. Actually he took a free kick or goal kick, and sent it straight out of play. 1 Quote
DutchRover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) I'd sign Gardner-Hickman, reality is Tronstad is leaving, Forshaw is ancient, and God knows what baradji is going to be. Tavares already ditched by Ismael, Garrett and Montgomery not ready. So he's potentially the only starter we might roll with next year. Edited 3 hours ago by DutchRover 5 Quote
Torgeir Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Unfair play by Bristol City when Toth got injured. Really poor form. 8 Quote

If the hierarchy had their way then we'd have been looking at the worrying scenario of having somebody with zero league experience between the sticks. I don't rate Pears much at all, but he has shown to be occasionally competent in spells, so just have to hope for the best there. Maybe a period out of the team will have refocused his energies a little. Quote

Ossydave Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Great performance really soured by the injuries. I didn’t actually notice what Wharton did for his? Toth’s was weird, I thought he’d done his ankle till they were strapping much further up, which makes it much worse tbh, HUGE blow if he’s out for any period of time. 1 Quote

All right as a fringe player ideally. Quote

Their fans / players screaming at him and baying for blood when he was injured - then taking an attacking long throw in (bearing in mind Toth rolled the ball out of play as he was injured). Awful behaviour. 3 Quote

Injury to Toth is a massive blow, have to either hope it's less serious than it appeared and he'll be back after internationals, or Pears comes into the team in one of his purple patches of form. Wharton injury a worry as well. Would be a shame if our lack of squad depth derailed what is turning into a superb run of form. Other than Sheffield United (0) we have the lowest number of draws with just 1 this season. We either win or we lose, no in between. Kind of like JDT's first season, but much lower in the table. 22-23. Pl 13 W 6 D 0 L 7 F 13 A 16 PTS 18 25-26. Pl 13 W 5 D 1 L 7 F 13 A 17 PTS 16 1 Quote

Ricky Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Three at the back has been good for us but not sure how we play it for Derby without 3 fit CBs 😞 Hopefully Wharton will be ok but I’m guessing he’ll be missing. Toth is the biggest worry, Pears could be very very shaky and not even sure his head will be in it after we tried to get rid of him over the summer. Quote

Ricky Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Derby 4 wins in 4 and us 3 in 3 definitely makes for an interesting game. Their 4 wins seem to have come when Trav got injured. 1 Quote

This season on 18 points we'd be 13th at best, depending on GD, or 15th at worst. 2 minutes ago, bazza said: I see Walton was in goal for Ipswich tonight and we never rated him. With good reason tbf, he was rubbish for us. Done okay at Ipswich but he's their second string goalie - Alex Palmer is injured. Edited 3 hours ago by DE. Quote
