Everyone at Blackburn Rovers thanks Pape for his efforts and the memorable moments he provided during his time at the club

They are trolling at this point.

In fairness that flick head on to Weimann against them lot, Sheffield Wednesday away, WBA away and pne home. More so the flick on if it weren’t for that, Weimann probably would not have scored that screamer. I liked his character, just didn’t work out under val.

So a striker with a 6 goals in 60 appearances (but did head a ball five yards to a teammate once too) gets a ‘thanks for the memories’ send off … seems about right for this regime.

The fans are as much to blame, doing that stupid ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh whey celebration with him at the end of every game that rovers didn’t lose. The same kind who won’t hesitate to attend the Watford game, clueless bunch the remaining attendees at ewood (most of them anyway).

One Makhtar Gueye buys you one Bali Mumba and one Leo Castledine

Not when you're only willing to reinvest 10% of the Gueye fee and maybe half his wages it doesn't.

Time is ticking to get all the players in for the deadline already pushed back by a week.

Regarding Mumba, his name has repeatedly been suggested over a number of years. Im not convinced firstly what his best position is, and also that he would be a particularly good signing.

There's no point repeatedly mentioning these deadlines. Firstly, they were never deadlines, just times Val would like to have players in by. Secondly, we all knew it wouldn't happen, including yourself.

You do the math guys, there is budget.

I’ve done the math Rudy, there should be plenty. The fans just aren’t seeing any of it.

Certainly not at a competitive Championship level.

Given Ismael openly told attendees of the “business club” night this week that they had purposely withheld “budget” in case the foreign recruits needed help come January, but that budget has been reallocated to a new pitch, I don’t expect to see any credible signings.

Why so intolerant of people who don't share the same view or might agree with the cause but still want to watch the team and support the players? I'm not going but there's no need to hate on those who are, it only serves to create further division.

The guy who gave a summary of what was Said at that talk never mentioned this?

So ismael is telling supporters we have no money for signings but telling the media he wants 2 forwards in? We didn't bid for Barnsley lad then?

If that's true, it sounds like we should prepare for getting a couple of development loans on a basis of we promise to play them as long as we don't have to cover their wage/loan fees

If that's the case, then they will almost certainly be at the tail end of the window, once the parent clubs have exhausted any fee paying options of where to send their players, although we may drop lucky and get another player who had a failed Championship loan and has been recalled (similar to Cashin)

As soon as Val brought up the pitch issue after sheff wed game I/we all should have been ready for the excuses in advance. I certainly was. It’s the perfect excuse for him/them to lean on (nowhere near acceptable in my eyes but they will spin that narrative that the pitch was a must and we would/could/should have been 4/5 points better off etc)

I should have laid more thought on this, I mean could it literally be more Rovers than to sort the pitch out ready for League One at the cost of strengthening the team to stay in the Championship.

Any half decent owners would want to strengthen the team and sort out the pitch.

That will never catch on!

Nothing surprises me at this club any more

Worse without doubt than Chris Brown or Luke Varney but got away with it due to fan bonding and plundering the odd goal last year.

Utter claptrap

Just saw on Sky Sports that Bournemouth have had a bid for Toth of £7M rejected

I nearly had a heart attack before realising it was a different Toth

A £7m bid certainly wouldn't have been rejected here!
