Granted we should have tied his contract up sooner but he could still have signed a new contract on the promise of getting sold and getting us some money out of it, we made him. Plus once he knew he was going he went missing the second part of his last season and turned up again on the last day v millwall. Respect is a 2 way thing

There seems to be a perception with some he hid away  in his last few months here. Not a view I subscribe to, he was no worse than anyone else.

Mmm... Don't agree with booing him but he basically gave us one full season of decent performances split across two halves of separate campaigns, otherwise he was generally poor and not even close to being worth what we paid for him. Not that the fee is his fault, but still.

Mowbray ignored him for the first 18 months he was here, he came in during Covid and did ok, then the 20 goals before Christmas, then in his final season he was singled out for criticism at a time when the whole team absolutely tanked because it was known he was leaving.
