I was staggered with that, I was expecting 6 or 7 as a minimum. The penalty must have been 3 minutes stoppage at least.

We go to Bristol City it's 9 minutes added (Play over 10) when we have a narrow lead to protect.

At Leicester it was 6-7.

As usual when Rovers are chasing a game it is the bare minimum.

My joke was I'd imagine the Polish league is much more physical than ours in terms of defending aerial balls etc.  it's not a trait I associate with Hedges

You've seen from Henriksson, who's come from what you'd imagine is a very physical Swedish league, and is struggling to get up to the speed and physicality of the game - it just isn't.

The Championship is full of the best paid cloggers on Earth. It's unbelievably physical.

If the ref wasn't so blatant today I'd suggest he was on the take.

I simply list it down to incompetence. He needs to find another career because he's in well over his head refereeing at this level.

Seems strange, only a few days ago Rudy was boasting of the owners' support and investment with their '10 signings' and now we have lost a few to injury and we are all concerned about coping with a threadbare squad.

In reality they've left us short, again, by cutting corners and costs on recruitment, contracts and the squad.

Only an imbecile would sell Hyam on deadline day with no replacement coming in and then seriously expect treatment table regulars Carter and Wharton to see us through a 46 game season.

But that's where the difference comes in - this lot aren't arsed if it means we lose more games or plummet down the table. They'll just shrug shoulders and moan about 'bad luck' whilst collecting their bonuses for cutting the wage bill and bringing in millions.

I thought, you know I'll just make kick-off, so I'll pop into the club shop after the game, and I'll had a pie at half time.  Not a lot to ask.

I went to the food outlets at both ends of the Riverside and I think they were selling chips, until they ran out at halftime when I'd waited several minutes in the queue.  I thought there must be an outlet in the "fanzone", so wandered around some very low quality stalls selling awful burgers and pizza.  So I headed over to McD's bought a burger and then had to explain to the young man who stopped me that the Riverside was to the left of the BBE and not the right.

So I'll get a programme, a 150 year t-shirt and something for my grandson.  No I won't, the shop's closed.  So the club lost £50.

I did notice Yasir hanging around outside the BBE at halftime, I think to check in the kids' trip, whilst the leader of our protest movement bantered closely-by.

The only highlight was a Derby fan falling over walking away from the ground and I was able to suggest that he'd fit right into Eustace's team, except he got up too quickly.

Salmon, green wine and a long sulk this evening.

disappointed with the result, felt we deserved a point after our second half performance.

The starting 11 surprised me and how we lined up. We should have either played Ribeiro or Pickering as left centre back or changed to back 4 and gone more off 4-2-3-1. I would also surprised that either Forshaw or Montgomery didn't start next to TGH. Didn't get why Henriksson started. Also surprised that TGH went off at half time.

Defending for both goals were poor from us.

Didn't think Derby had much quality but a typical Eustace team

Deffo pen and Ohashi scored it.

We missed Toth, Tronstad, Cantwell and Wharton today.

Montgomery had a good game when he came on

So short sighted Rev. Derby defend far far better than Bristol. We were allowed to play first half against Bristol and took full advantage. Derby are well drilled and made life very difficult -doulbed up on de Neve and Albeiousu. 5 across the back, 3 in front  of that and no space to play in. Got their goals, and just sat in, worked extremely hard to nullify us. You have to have special players or sheer physicality to open up a side like that.

Also, Bristol played far better in the second half, pressed us more and did not allow us to play as well as the first half.

Thought we took it to Bristol first half and could have had more than one, sat back second half and defended well, hardly gave them a sniff.

Even the 10 minutes extra were seen out comfortably.

Yes, our fans do not listen.

They explained there'd be a poem, then a minutes silence, then the last post.

They cheered through the last post because they're morons.

The Derby fans did the same in fairness.

Alibiousi (sp?) should have done better with that cross he totally blew it.  If he had just jumped proper at the right time.he would have had that but he seemed caught in 2 minds and really did nothing.

Plus the clear penalty not given, a Derby defender clearly controlled the ball with his hand, inside the box. The usual amateur refereeing in the Championship 1/10 marks for the ref.

When? There was the blocked cross that was outside the box, but I don't remember another incident.

You might think different, when the snake puts in a bid for Alibousi in the January transfer window. No wonder they've got big grins all over their faces, come to Ewood buy all their players, and get in the play offs. F-ck Eustace.

I think it will be that incident. I was in JWL and clearly saw the handball and thought it was a penalty but I’m told TV confirmed it was outside the box. The ref somehow missed it completely as not even a free kick given.

The question is; are any of them good enough?

If you're throwing youngsters of the standard of Montgomery into the starting XI you're on a hiding to nothing.

For the time he was on I thought Montgomery was our best midfielder today.

You won't know if they are good enough or not until you try them. Ismael's reluctance to do so is apparent.

Which you'd think for an ownership intent on playing them would mean that Ismael was a poor choice for them. The appointment is bizarre from every angle except French pals with Rudy.

I mean, I know it worked out for them in terms of the result, but Derby were probably the worst footballing side I've seen this season.

Their tactics seemed to be 'hoof it as long and high as possible, then chase the ball'.

But then, I suppose, it is Eustace, so I shouldn't be surprised.

What a load of nonsense. Do you think they care? They won and they didn't just hoof it long and high just like big Sam wasn't all ugly football. They played at times, got their goals and then sat deep to let us huff and puff to no effect.

Eustace kept us in this league and does what he has to.

Today wasn’t much of an advertisement for championship level football. If I had a £1 for every miss placed pass by both teams I’d be rich. A game of two halves. We hardly turned up in the first half. No pace, no tempo, too much walking football. We were getting bullied all over the pitch, the ref was partly responsible for that. Apart from the pen he gave us next to nothing. 4 minutes added time ? Really ? For the first goal - the one player that shouldn’t be getting a free header is Morris. Did somebody say we’ve just signed a set piece coach ?  I thought playing Hedges as a centre half was a really really strange move. Has he ever played there before in his life ? Playing either of Pickering or Ribeiro there would have been a better bet in my opinion.  Nobody played well but some were better than others, Ohashi never gave up and scored a well taken penalty. Alebioso kept trying without much joy. After that I’m struggling.

Of course a team with a fit and available  Toth, Wharton, Carter, Tronstad and Cantwell would look much stronger and would allow some of the starters today to be on the bench. Let’s not forget that. However 2 of those players will not play again this year and how long Carter lasts this time is anybodies guess.

Pears looked nervous without making any real clangers. To be honest I don’t think either keeper had to make a serious save all game.

DeNeve ? Playing at a level beyond his ability. Don’t let him take another corner. Same with Henriksson, not at this level as a starting player. Nobody in centre mid impressed, nobody was capable of carrying the ball forward and committing opponents. Morishita ? Better than Dolan ? Not for me. Too lightweight in a bruisers league. Gudjohnsen ?  He was Badjohnsen today. I know he got next to no service but you’ve get to get involved more than that today. None of the subs made much of impression. I got the feeling we could have played whilst midnight and not got an equaliser. At least the Rovers book I bought before the game looks like money well spent.

Was the minutes silence messed up? I always thought in the past it started and ended with the last post but they did it from the refs whistle, when he whistled again the crowd roars as they do but then during that the last post started.

Yes, surprise nobody has commented on this. Embarrassing. To be fair, think it was the refs fault not the clubs. (For a change).

As per my point, it works / worked and is effective.

But it can't be disputed that their style is 'hoof and run' - that is exactly what they did today.

And, yet again for clarity, it worked a treat against us.
